I've been out at sea on a yacht and it is honestly a super creepy atmosphere during the night. You usually can't see more than 100 feet away from your boat and if the weather is overcast it is complete pitch black outside.

I've never been out on the ocean at night, but I go fishing a lot on the same lake and when it's dark out there's something about the water that's just really spooky
I have Thalassaphobia and can’t even touch a boat without freaking out. I also have anxiety which also adds to the nervousness when I’m on a boat. Every time something happens my brain tells me “What if it’s … ?” “What will you do if it’s … ?” “We’re dead if it’s … !”

My dad has been involved in boatbuilding and repair pretty much his entire adult life, and a client relayed a story once of a scary night out at sea alone on a fishing boat. I don't remember how big the boat was, or how far out the guy was, but he was a good way off the coast of Oregon. He was just drifting, sleeping as the boat rolled in the waves. Suddenly he felt the boat shift hard enough to about dump him out of his bunk. He heard something on the deck, sort of sliding, quiet, then sliding. A scrape, then more sliding. Whatever it was, it seemed like it was trying to be quiet. He had heard of people being attacked during the night, and was now totally panicking. He was locked in his cabin, and decided to stay there until it was light out enough to see.
As the glow of sunrise started to become visible, he checked the little porthole windows to see if there were any other boats, but it was just water for miles around. Finally, it was light enough that he figured he stood a chance against any intruders. He grabbed his gun, then unlocked his cabin door and went to whip it open, but it wouldn't budge. He began slamming against it, and heard a bunch of that sliding scraping sound. He hit the door again, and it popped open in time for him to see a huge sea lion plop itself back over the side of the deck with a splash that drenched him. There were several of them, and he had no idea how many had climbed onto his boat. They had caused a significant amount of damage, which is why he had come to the company my dad was working for at the time.

I live next to a harbor in southern California and I can hear those beasts barking and moaning all night long. I can hear them right now. I'm surprised they stayed quiet on his boat. Weird

Chances are they were planning on hijacking the boat. He’s lucky all he got was thrown overboard

I experienced sleep paralysis once many years ago and it was the 100% without a doubt the most terrifying thing I have ever experienced. It's no joke! I saw a black figure and it started choking me and I couldn't scream or move until I woke up....Absolutely terrifying

First of all, I’m pretty sure it was mercury poisoning. It’s known to cause sleep paralysis. Second of all. If u ever get sleep paralysis, DO NOT PANIC! I know people say all the time that that’s the worst thing to do in any situation, but for real that is the last thing u want. Panic causes hallucinations and those are truly terrifying. It’s not fun

@@michaeledery356 Sleep Paralysis is what you get from lack of sleep, sickness, etc.. Its when you can't move any part of your body but your eyes and see something (person or even creature) in your room or area you fell asleep in its the most real thing you can feel in a dream also the scariest. Sometimes the creature/person interacts with you sometimes not but I've only had it once and by far the most terrifying thing I've faced in the dark.
Something Different It could also be caused by the difference in your brain and body’s response to sleep. Your brain releases a chemical paralyzing you during REM sleep, and if you wake up during that time then it could happen. ur brain thinks ur asleep still basically

Everyday I look through mr nightmares stories to find a video i may have not potentially watched, and at this point i am fully convinced i have watched all of his videos and have some memory of each story told, because every story he tells i end up remembering it.

One was my teddy bear having a real human eye that looked at me. other one was of me waking up next to a pale corpse. though they each lasted a couple of seconds but it scared the absolute shit outta me as a kid

It pulled and I was pulled out of the boat. My line snapped and I had to walk home without a pole a boat and soaking wet. ( It was a shitty boat like a pirate life boat.)

i'm starting to think those boat guys actually wanted gas
considering they were circling the boat while running out of gas doesn’t make sense , also any sailor or someone that owns some time of boat knows you don’t go on someone else’s boat unannounced. sneaking on their boat and having no lights on , they were basically stalking them.
They would’ve just drove to shore or radioed the coast guard, not continuously stalk them various distances and circle around their boat. Not to mention, they never once hollered out to them and chose to approach when they were certain their targets were asleep (lights off, engine off). It’s also incredibly bad boat etiquette to board someone else’s boat without permission. Those dudes had some seriously nefarious intentions, no doubt.

I am very disappointed.
When the title said "Deep Sea", I expected a boat being attacked by a giant octopus or megalodon from below, submarine or diver to find a horrifying undiscovered creature or something like that.
Not a two fishermans being stalked in a middle of a night, guy having sleep paralysis and guy having a crazy person under a bed on a boat.
Especially when the tumbnail has a swimmer looking down and seeing giant eye below him.
When I see/hear the term "Deep Sea", I think of a deep underwater area in a middle of a ocean.

I've wanted to be a marine biologist since I was about 8-9yrs old, but my family convinced(more like forced🙄) me to get "a real career" as an RN instead. Don't get me wrong, I like the career I have and the field I'm in because I absolutely love helping people(especially kids🥰), but the level of passion I had for Marine Biology was just unmatched. So if being a Marine Biologist is what you want to be, my advice is for you to follow that dream/your heart and don't let anyone choose your path/life for you! I sincerely hope you achieve your career goal, and I hope it's everything you dreamed it would be 🌊🤿🐠🐬💛
