How do you get the tip of your brushes to get (and stay) so stiff? I keep on seeing it time and time again on other videos and no matter what I do my brushes can't get anywhere like that?
Thanks for your comments! The brush tip is not stiff at all, in fact it is quite soft if you compare it to most synthetic hair (nylon) brushes. I think the key (also what makes it look like it's stiff) is that how much pressure you put on your brush tip. I try to be as gentle as possible with each brush stroke, so that the pressure do not split the tip. Also keep the brush tip moistured will help, you can always blend in a bit more water while mixing the paints.
They are local budget brands. Brand name if it helps: 金泥(Jinni) 秋宏斋(QiuHongZhai) The green one in the video is my most used brush: around 2mm tip diameter, weasel hair.
