I got a tip off from somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody that works at coral/Ladbrokes headquarters. He said since the 19th of April they have tightened the machines up to not pay out no more than £50 per hour for every £20 staked. This is because the £30 pound stake limit switch over is scheduled sometime in the Summer. The greedy bookies are trying to get as much of punters money as they can.

The reason why jackpot gems was changed was because the old gamble coincided with the section 16 gambling rules which is illegal now as you could bet more then £2 on a spin.

There are two versions of Jackpot Gems now - this one is garbage, but the other is alright. Instead of all-or-nothing ladder gamble you get a pie gamble for action spins, £2 a time, with the win values increasing the smaller you make the pie.
