You are absolutely correct about Vivobarefoot and colours. They make awesome shoes but they have no clue about colour. As for those Boulder Boots you can tell a shoe is no good if you rest it on the ground and the toe curls up off the ground. That is not a shape you want for your shoes because it's not the shape of your foot.

I've got a pair of vivo magna forest esc boots in brown and thank god they don't have the ugly neon green insides that the trackers have. But yeah when i bought them they only had brown and black, now I see they have some with neon green details and weird grey camouflage soles... I really don't understand what's the appeal of these ugly neon colors.

Awesome review. I have a pair of Xero boots and they have fallen apart after light use over a year. Just bought some Vivobarefoot Forest II boots. I need more waterproof since I am in Maine. But I am sure wax occasionally will work.

Your red wings will keep lasting and lasting.. while light weight boots are more comfortable and will not last more then 2 years. Softstars are made in the usa and may last longer.. I havent tried them yet

If you like ‘slip ons’ try elastic laces or simply removing them from the boulder boot. I wore my boulder boots for years with elastic laces. I recently bought the waterproof leather version for slushy wet tasks and moved the elastic laces to them. I’ve been wearing the original boulders with no laces for a few months now and actually like them a lot for simple daily walking around.

Well dang. I have the Xero Xcursion Fusion waterproof boots and am really happy with them, but after your reviews here the Tracker Forest and Lems Chelsea are on my list. I love the idea of slipping on chelsea boots instead of crocs for quick farm chores like bring hay to the sheep or grabbing some firewood.

Thanks dude, I have a pair of Lems Boulder boots, for over a year now. I wear them most of the time with ragg wool socks comfortable thru all seasons and all level of work and rucking. Im considering the Vivo primarily for a sturdier tread, im glad you mentioned the size difference in the two. at 63 and blown up too many times ive been doing barefoot boots for about 3 years it took me several months to develop the little foot muscles and my feet seem to have gone up almost a whole size.

Wonderful video! I got my first pair of barefoot footwear a few months ago and it was the Lem's Boulder Summit, the newer and waterproof version of the Boulder with lugs for traction on the bottom. They are incredible and I'm looking forward to trying other barefoot shoes and boots. Your video was very helpful, informative, and honestly just pleasant and calming to watch. I would recommend the Summit as it has good traction, though you already have that covered.

My man looks like he’s truly living the dream life. 👍🏾👍🏾
Real talk I’m a men’s size 12 in every shoe but Lems. I’m a 12.5 in Lems. At least in the Primal Zen. I previously ordered the Boulder Boot Grip and the Primal Zen in a men’s 12 and both were too small so I reordered the Zens in 12.5. They fit perfectly with socks on or off. Now I will take a chance on the Boulder Boot Grips in a 12.5. The water proofing is very good. The traction is awesome. I just want to how they feel with thick winter socks on.

I have two pairs and absolutely like them but they have worn out far too fast for me. I contacted vivo this week just after 6 months use
I wear them casually almost every day . Average 2000 steps a day over last 6 months . I’m about 235 lbs. Have quite high arches on my feet.
I don’t think in will buy another pair at £140. They are about a one year shoe for me. There are holes in the insoles after 6 months or less, wasn’t paying attention . My older pair have two holes right through the sole so stones and water can get inbetween

@@ourclarioncall That is not usual/typical wear for those shoes. You have acknowledged your weight, but that probably is just a part of this. You might want to consider your gait, whether you might be scuffing or twisting your feet as you step.

I've been looking for a summer foot shaped boot myself, but it has to have a bit of traction as I work on an oily, metal scrap ridden shop floor environment.
My feet are extra wide and high volume, so I'm curious how the other chelsea boots you mentioned would be, seeing as they're easy on and off.
Thanks for sharing your barefoot experience, I appreciate all the research I can find as my pennies are priceless and having to ship back and forth for sizing as you mentioned is a lot of the battle.

Not sure about this idea. What about arch support?. Always b en a barefoot guy, not due to any philosophy but because everyone where I grew up was barefoot and didn’t know it was unusual until I left NZ (kiwi kids ey) . When I turned 40 started having major ankle issues so much so I had to stop running any distance. After a couple X-rays that showed nothing, a few months ago a pragmatic GP said to get footwear with good arch support. Now at 50 I’m running again, not around hobbling at night. Took awhile to get in the habit of putting on my burks or shoes when I left the house

    • @zonderbaar
      @zonderbaar Год назад

Arch support probably makes your feet weaker, I'd look into alternative solutions, physiotherapy, diet ( inflammation bc of sugar, grains ), maybe kinesiology can help. Good luck and stay barefoot 😊
