You think it sounds like Dysentery Gary? I met the band this summer and told them that the riff sounded alot like that song. But the riffs are different, they didn't steal it. But hey, this is punkrock !
I like this band but this song's chorus sounds like Summer by Sum-41 and the riff sounds like Dysentery Dan..not hating, just observing that your inspirations are rather apparent :)
have you guys tried side chaining the vocals to guitar? Dunno if it would work better for you guys. It works good for me for leads and basses on kick drums.
