I started showing symptoms of real depression at 14 (more than normal for that age) and I self harmed on and off for roughly 7-8 years.. then last year I had a psychotic break and nearly killed myself. I got help and learned to love my inner child. My family and my music really pushed me back in the right direction. That’s what brought me here.. I think the noticeable pitch correction in this song kind of fits, considering the lyrics, it kind of shows how the person writing the "suicide note" is trying to hide the state of his mental health, just as Ofi is trying to hide the imperfections in his voice
I disagree. I think a suicide note is when you're most honest with your emotions. It's the bare you. I wish he hadn't used the auto tune but I can still feel the emotion in the way the guitar is played.
