    You simply explained the formula and gave a simple and accurate step-by-step example. Best explanation ever. I also like the way you explained how the formula works better than other explanations I have found on youtube.

    in the whole 12 years of my school life up until end high school age (16) i didn't know how to do a percentage change and it literally took a couple minutes simply put instead of doing shitty school exercises and stuff why can't schools teach it this way so much easier

    Do you ONLY use this formula for percentage change? I get this confused with percentage increase/decrease all the time.. And also does it matter if you do initial - final / initial x 100? That's how I remembered the formula.

    hello. I have a question. how do you you find a percent change for values that have changed more than once? example , percent change of a population after five years?
    Year 2000 - 21,000 , then after five years, it becomes 30,000

  • @jaidonspires9780

    Pretty much big number minus smaller number. Then divide by the start or initial number. Then multiply by 100

  • @lautszlee7241

    What if the weight decrease ?whats the total precentage change im confused about that🙏

  • @scocopataj463
    @scocopataj463 6 лет назад

    correct me if im wrong .. If if I have $0.25 and I get paid for washing a car and my total ammount is now $1.26 it would be 1.26-.25=1.01 over 1.26 = if put into a calculater is 80.1587302 I dont think I did this right where did I go wrong or would it be 404 AGH I DONT KNOW HALP

    • @WordPress2014
      @WordPress2014 6 лет назад

      It'd be 404, as your initial amount was $.25 and so you'll divide the change by .25 and multiply that by 100 to get your answer in %

    nice music background, just right no need to increase the volume.

  • @SapoPond
    @SapoPond 8 лет назад

    but what if your final is less than what your initial is, do you still substract
    40 - 45
    (final) (initial)
    _______________
    45

    • @floppybollox3
      @floppybollox3 8 лет назад

      Yes, into negative figures to get the percentage decrease. 40-45 = '-5'. -5/45 x 100 = 11% (rounded up).

  • @jessieksk8ter

    first of all ~swoon~, second, thanks!

  • @jaidonspires9780
    @jaidonspires9780 8 лет назад +4

    So if it was
    Initial: 35
    Final: 76
    You would do 76-35
    Then divide by 35
    Then multiply by 100

    " it is 7.14 if you put that into a calculator""
    I think that is very sad. Why not work it out in your head, or at the most on paper ? After all 50 divided by 7 is hardly difficult is it ?
