I previously only shot JPEG, partly because I did not want to deal with any computer software raw processors. However, I recently learned about Fuji's in camera raw converter (press playback + Q), which brings up a menu where you can conveniently edit your raw files and then save them on your camera. Now I shoot JPEG + raw and get the best of both worlds. I shoot N JPEGS, but with the raw converter, I can save the raw files as fine, as well as change the exposure, film simulations, etc.
That is a great suggestion! I normally shoot in both but haven't had the need to use the raw files yet. But at the very least I feel comfortable having raw files. I'm interested in testing this, and even multiple cameras (could I apply classic chrome in a x100v on a x100 file? things like that. Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment as well! cheers! 🙌🏼😁
Hey there, For JPEG I completely customize all the settings, I try to get as much as I can in-camera and be intentional with the way I shoot. Including the colour, highlights, shadows, sharpens, film simulation, aspect ratios, etc. Here are a couple of videos that can potentially help explain my process: -How I shoot: ruclips.net/video/9tbf6UTuHbE/видео.html -Back button focusing: ruclips.net/video/eSPTnuodZn0/видео.html -Create & use custom simulation recipes: ruclips.net/video/a7P_NcKi0To/видео.html -Common mistakes: ruclips.net/video/8H_WqX6FeqY/видео.html I think those are some decent videos to get a sense of what the photography craft entails and some advice on how to approach it as well! Hope that helps! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to share a comment as well! I appreciate it! 🙏🏼✨

Question when shooting jpegs. Do you leave settings at default or do you have highlights, shadows, Colours etc adjusted. Thanks

I always shot RAW and JPEG. If I could only shot one it would be RAW.
Sounds good, shooting in both formats gives you the flexibility, smart. Thanks for your comment!
In my own opinion, every beginner photographer should learn to shoot in jpeg and not raw. Enough of the raw hype.
That's right, if you can manage to learn via manual settings and jpeg only, then you're set for life! Thanks for your comment :)
