I love when they revealed the chalkboard. It's like Komi-san's first actual conversation that she's ever had with a friend.

the song has a type of revelation tune to it which goes well with the moment since its the first breakthrough that komi has had in her life towards her ultimate dream of making 100 friends. tadano also opting to write rather than talking portrays an image of komi standing on the same playing ground of someone else in a social interaction.
think about komi confess to tadano with this music as the background. I'LL CRY OUT LOUD

Seeing the words “You can forget any of this happened.” and “See you.” Being erased really punched right to my soul as someone who’s had trouble opening up before. It made me want to go into the screen myself and give that girl a hug.
But what Tadano did, writing on the chalkboard to communicate, putting them on equal footing AND basically saying that he was there for her…
I gotta be honest, the first time it happened, I genuinely started crying.

Up to date with the manga within a week and I have to say, this song symbolises Shouko-chan's growth in the most emotional and beautiful way. This one week and two day journey... I hope it will extend for many more days, months or even years. To see her grow is like seeing your child or good friend grow up into their dream. Will forever be my favourite.

When the piano for this kicked in, as you hear what Komi has struggled through, it gets the eyes watering REALLY hard.
As someone who was bullied growing up, I felt the same way that Komi did when she couldn't communicate with others. Sitting alone, not having anyone to talk to, having no one to be friends with, and the only people being the ones who harass you that come over to you when you have lunch is awful. That's been years ago for me, but the experience never leaves you. Even now, with me having people I know in real life, over the internet, having genuine friends... none of that changes what has happened. You still have those hard times you remember.
To say this scene hit me hard, and then uplifted me when Tadano started talking to Komi is an understatement. The way she felt is the way I felt when I made a genuine friend later when someone became my friend after going through that rough period in my life.
Such an amazing song and such an amazing scene. I'm beyond excited to see where this show goes next.

Then you realize the ED song and vid is komi and tadano in their middle school days. Komi is always alone. Walking from home alone. Sitting in the classroom alone.. but as komi continue to run. It show there the future events. Where she now have tadano. And as they make progress in komi making friends. Those friends will be added at the last image in the ED SONG.
this comment made my eyes water a little . i am similar to komi except i can talk to people but i am always not the one to start talking so i think thats why this comment is kinda sad to me. im experiencing what youve been through except i have my sister in my class this year and no one is bullying me they just ignore me

This was the most beautiful scene hands down. It was like a torrent of things Komi wanted to say and there was no stopping her from jotting it all down when she resonated with Tadano. This score helps compliment the abundance of emotions shown in the scene perfectly.
I understand this scene is supposed to be very emotional and touching…

The rest of this season has to to try really hard if it is going to try to top this ost.
The chalkboard scene was brilliant in the manga. This means that many a manga fan sat with baited breath for the anime to get the scene right or wrong. In the anime, this theme combined with the montage way it was animated and the falling chalk that resembled snow made an already beautiful scene into something that should be iconic the world around.
This scene is what hooked me to this series and the anime portrayed it beautifully. I was stunned the first time I watched it.
These are the kinds of music that move me. Reminds me of "Shigatsu wa kimi no uso"

I can see this song playing at the end of the series and then when the music swells at 1:21 to 2:00 it's like a flashback of all the friends that she made. Sort of like a slideshow of each one and as the music begins to calm down it'd be a picture of Tadano and all the moments him and Komi had together and how much he helped her. Then for the second swell around the 3 minute mark it'd be her looking forward to her future. Spoilers below for those who care

this anime comes unexpectedly to me and I think it's a blessing that I get to know this anime. Komi is the one I can relate many things, and Tadano is what I strive to be. This anime becomes one of my top films and I can't wait for season 3.
