Two things - tire pressure goes a long way on heavier vehicles, and invest in some lockers. A rear locker will take you far. If you throw one in the front you’ll essentially turn that thing into a tank!

Well guys first of all super duty trucks are work trucks not off road trucks that truck is almost twice heavier than any of the other trucks plus the frame is stuff made to pull heavy loads not for offroad play and I own an f350 6.0 2003 fully deleted bought it brand new have 245 thousand miles and running on stock turbo and fuel injectors never been replaced it kicks ass but not offroad play definitely thanks ...

But my little 6.0 would have done the same but because 490hp to the tires don't lie if know which line to take and got some real tires. For what he was doing the egts shouldn't be high at all my 01 cummins gets run hard through the mud and my egts only get to 800 and when ur going up a hill like that u need to hit it faster and give it more fuel dont be scared of it but if his egts are getting high like that he needs a gauge to check on
