You can find the exact measurements in my pattern here sweetcinnamonroses.com/products/super-easy-bag-sewing-pattern ❤️ Just make sure your lining is the same size as the outside fabric ✂️✂️✂️
Made this twice! Tips for people doing it for the first time: - This took me about 2 hours to do - a bit long for a pouch because of the quilting part; skip this step to save time. - Do not buy that quilting foot she’s using, it works just fine with a regular foot. - Acquire a bulky seam jumper prior to starting if your domestic machine has a hard time with thick pieces. - USE THAT ZIPPER FOOT YOU’VE BEEN AVOIDING! Yes, I’m talking to you! - Thinner fabrics with lightweight interfacing work the best before adding the batting. Medium/heavyweight will make you struggle a bit more.
@@sweetcinnamonroses I added the bit about the quilting bar because I have 3 machines and they didn't come with one and immediately looked up what it was. Just in case anyone saw that and was reconsidering doing the project because they didn't have one.
@@sweetcinnamonroses oh wow.. Infact Janome 6700P is on my list of options. Would you recommend the 6700P to someone who is making pouches & organisers to sell? Im confused if i should go for this or an industrial Juki may be. Any guidance would be helpful 🤍
It’s very similar to the Juki I would say. Of all the Janome machines the 6700p is the most industrial I think. Mostly metal, durable and a workhorse. But I would always suggest test driving her locally. See what you think using her.
@@sweetcinnamonroses Thank you for your suggestion, I will definitely test drive the Janome machine to gain a better understanding. Your input is greatly appreciated, especially considering your experience with a higher model. While I have always had a fondness for Bernina machines, budget constraints are currently influencing my decision-making process. The value for money offered by Janome at this point is certainly a factor I am considering. Your advice is invaluable, and I will carefully consider it as I make my final decision. Thank you for your help ☺. Take care.
Ahhh so glad I could help a little. And I agree, I do like Bernina and Pfaff as well but you get a lot more for your money with a Janome machine (especially the 6700p and M7). Good luck and please let me know how it goes ❤️
If you have pinking shears use them when trimming the rounded corners!
Yes. You totally can but it’s not needed as the seam allowance is hidden on the inside. But yes. If you like to use them… Yay!
With this Video I just sewed my first project ever 😍 thank you!
Ahhh thats so amazing!!! So glad this was helpful ❤️❤️❤️ What are you planning to make next, Amelie?
@@sweetcinnamonroses another, Little Bit neater version 😄
Perfect!!!! 🤩
I loved this tutorial. Must what i was looking for to get my first little project!
Thats so amazing!! So glad this helped you ❤️
Thank you very much for this video, it will help me with zippers! ❤
Yay, so glad you found this helpful ❤️
I love the fabrics you have ❤great work
Ahhh thank you. So happy you like them ❤️
very pretty, I like your choice of fabrics
Ahhh thank you ❤️
Always Beautiful Laura!! Great video!💝🪡🧵
Ahhh thanks Lisa! Really means a lot 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Hi! Do you not need to backsew to secure the ends when you're quilting?
Technically yes. But in this case, I’m trimming the edges. But if you’re new to quilting I would suggest you keep backstitching ❤️
Are the measurements of the outside & lining 6x7 in? Thank you so much! this is beautiful!

On her mat I’m seeing 6.5 in by 4.5 in as the final trimmed size
which machine do you have, is it cutting the thread for you?
Yes. It is. And it’s the Janome M7.

Yay. So glad this was helpful. Regarding the quilting bar, most machines come with one. No need to buy it. Yay!!

No way!!! Three machines and you don’t have it.. Dang. I’m glad you figured out a workaround ❤️
The fabric you used are so lovely. Can I get the names of the fabric used? Thank you.
The floral print I’m using is by Heather Ross and pretty much all the other prints are by Ruby Star Society ❤️
@@sweetcinnamonroses Thank you!
They are beautiful, if you don’t mind me asking what is the name of your sewing machine?
I have the Janome M7, that’s the bigger sister of the 6700p that I had before which is equally amazing ❤️
Thank you.
Wow.. Beautiful work... If I may ask , which machine do you use? Im looking at options to upgrade my current Brother . Thanks in advance
I’m sewing on a Janome M7 (it’s the big sister of the 6700p). Love both machines ❤️
