A pirate I was meant to be! (with iMUSE)

"A pirate was I meant to be" is a musical number from The Curse of Monkey Island at the beginning of Part III.
According to Jonathan Ackley, co-project leader of the game, they almost cut this part. When Michael Land brought the team the first edit, the singing was so awful they wanted to kill it. However, Michael insisted to give him a chance. Jonathan agreed but thought it would probably get cut. It turned out to be his favourite part of the game.

I have seen a lot of versions around where iMUSE is absent as ScummVM only added proper support by the end of 2021. Without it, the music cues don't transition properly. I recorded this video using the latest ScummVM which already supports iMUSE, so it should sound a lot better.

Wonderful! It's unfortunate this song was pretty much cut from non-English versions, though it's understandable due to all the rhyming needed.
Really sounds good with iMUSE too, I loved that lil' thing when i played Monkey 2 and I love it just as much here.

The song itself is in there, they removed the trigger for it. Back when I was a wee smeghead I somehow managed to trigger it anyway which was incredibly confuserating because I didn't actually speak English yet.
