It’s not a race of course. But the way you hold your yarn might be slowing you down and more importantly hurting your hand. That’s probably why it felt sore the next day. Just saying. I know we’re all different but hands are hands and we need those so probably experiment with different ways to hold your yarn in the future.
I like how careful you’re being with your comment haha. Because I know they are some crochet artists who didn’t receive constructive feedback well. Thought it was just advice, they’d clap back :(

So no need to be hostile haha. Plus I've changed the way I've held my yarn so many times I don't even remember the first way I held it. It's always good to find your comfortable way

when you do finish it you will need to sew a lining in it because it is so big the bag will start to look saggy and stretch without a firm lining.
