@Karon Nuva by the time you hit level 3 it's already like 40/40 and the level that you used 9 coins to get, does nothing because both level 2 and 3 take exactly 2 turns to grow the remaining 10/10. (Unless both times you used equipment, or one equipment and 1 apple but that would be dumb so late in the game)
Thinking about the beetle bacta tank strat. I think a peacock would be a good candidate. It doesn’t have good attack however it does get stronger each time it attacks so getting one with juiced health seems like a good idea then feed it some garlic
I was literally ripping my dick off watching him throw away a peacock, an animal that with only a garlic and a few buffs gets way better scaling than a flamingo, plus it starts with much more HP. Sincerely he could keep it until it's like 20hp with garlic and it will sweep entire teams in the early game and the flamingo is just a slightly better ant.
@@Jinzoningen actually it's strangely common in the animal kingdom. When animals are stressed they often self mutilate. Mine was just metaphorical though.
@@diablofrag2177 I've been messing around with fed beetle/bird + frozen peacock/crab as a speedrun strat. It's a little less rng than the plain old crab strat so I think it's definitely viable.
Best bacta target is the scorpion because it has effectively infinite attack so it just needs health. Also any animals with hurt triggers like a peacock work great too
By the time the scorpion shows up, you don’t have enough time to keep it in the bacta tank and get it popping. This strat is better for junky animals that can be buffed for like 5 rounds and then come out juiced. Peacock is a good one. Kangaroo is my ideal bacta animal. Save it until you get a tanky unit going and then put the kangaroo behind them so it goes off.
@@untexan camel is just better than kangaroo. Kangaroo relies on you having another buffed animal to get it's attack to reasonable levels, while camel actively benefits from having no attack so it can draw out a low attack opponent longer and buff your half built animal behind it to the point it's full built.
One thing I feel alone in my displeasure for is how much he overrates the level-one Hatching Chick Like, not only does the permanent buff outpace the temp in like, 2 turns, but the wasted squad space housing this 1/1 you’re refusing to give stats or equipment loses him more rounds than he realizes.
Only problem is that a level 1 monkey is just a better hatching chick at level 2. IMO hatching chick should be used for like 3 rounds and then changed out asap for better scalers.
@@superoriginalname5110 Yeah, I’d agree with that. I think my problem, like yours, starts with him keeping it around so long to begin with. Like if you’re gonna keep it past those 3 rounds, you _may as well_ invest in it.
@@Philgob ive gotten a level three hatching chick which in turn got me a level three octopus and everything else on my squad level 3. it very worth it if you get it early
One positive takeaway from this episode I want to posit is how well the pivot from honey to garlic on the back unit seemed to work, and not just for the Bacta tank Seems like a healthy pivot in the mid game, provided you’ve been stat-ing up your back unit, and makes them easier to move around when the time comes
NL, get a bluebird and a beetle early. Freeze something like a fish and out in in the back to scale it's attack and then later place a clone fish with 50 health on your 22 3 fish
Many people are *not* saying this: The bacta tank is a whole archetype, a whole strategy with which you may succeed if you can get it to pop. Consider: Beetle: tier 1 bacta. Lowkey Duck also. Dromedary: tier 2 bacta Lobster: tier 4 bacta but you can get it with a level up Can: tier 4 bacta Chicken: tier 5 bacta It's nice to use the bacta tank to make animals that you'd usually only buy for their on-buy effect (like cows and snails) usable as permanent units on your team. I have never successfully made this strategy work and I don't even own pay to win.
It's a terrible strategy if you don't diversify. Camel and chicken are only good with self scalers. Lobster is really only worth it if you're going heavy into the buy sell strats.
It was my understanding that in order to succeed, you wouldn't want to name your team after such an individual. Like mother always used to say: "To get things done, you better not mess with Major Tom." You know what he was doing up there right? No, not nothing. This is the first game I've ever enjoyed watching videos of, despite the fact that I never played it/ have no desire to play. Quite frankly, it's possible NL is just that entertaining.. LETS GOOO
The Bapta tank is actually very viable on occasion. Only if your round 3-4 shows 2-4 drama's if you get 3 on the team and feed them meat you can scale 2 animals in the shops plus 3 plus 3 for atleast 3 turns making for a strong stomp from the turn 6 you buy them into turn 10 to 11
I don't care if you can just buy cans, I've been running green beetles with dromedaries on the bacta tank strat for a while, it's never got me 10 wins but it's always made me feel big brain; glad to see enelle picking it up just waiting on him to finally use it on a camel, peacock or blowfish finally
@@mrask897 Well, you can check the Twitch highlight videos. There are three video segments for 31 Dec stream. Two of them - 'He's losing his mind' and 'The worst shop' - are already out. The last one is 'Happy New Year', which is a statement he said during the Sloth Run. So it has to be the next video out, unless he did things out of order (rarely). NL planned these releases in advance. The video were already titled by 1 Jan (with some slight changes).
Finally he discovered it, I have been rolling this build ever since I bought p2w, and I gotta say if you get that perfect line into scorpion and buff his hp into the moon that's the only way this build actually wins without pivoting because it falls off really hard in turn 10-14
The trick is to, get atleast 2 dromedares, and keep switching in buffed units on ocasion. Ideally you keep buffing units, that are on your team already, i.e. beetle, dromedar + swan if possible. 9/10 times you will win by turn 15. But you need to reroll alot in the early game, so it's very simmiliar to the old duck strategy that almost always guaranteed a win.
@Northernlion surprised you don't try for level 3 eagles, when pilled they leave a level 3 tier 6. An easy way to get a lot of the animals that show up late to level 3.
You're not wrong about the beetle, it does have potential to change the meta, I've had some pretty healthy units in the shop and I'm gonna try experimenting with a beetle and dromedary to see how things work out.

Poodle gives 1/1 to every animal on different tiers. So if you have animals from 5 different tiers on your roster then they all get 1/1 including poodle afaik. If you have 3 different tiered animals and two tier ones for example. The 3 different tiered ones would get it and 1 of the 2 tier ones would get it.
