Can we not critique bass players for using picks and their own opinion? Anyways! Great job on the cover my guy! Probably the best one i have seen so far! Keep it up dude! You rock! 🤘🏻
As a basses I prefer finger style. Sounds cleaner and smoother to me, but hey just do you. If you like using a pick over finger. Go with it. Fuck what e b eryone else thinks.
@@nairdazitro7460 It's THE traditional way to play bass, regarding metal music. Also, if you have ever played bass, you can play faster with your fingers versus using a pick. -It just suits that particular style of music better. It's has nothing to do about being "snobby". (-FYI When I first started playing I used to play with a pick.) Playing with a pick is cleaner sounding, but you just can't play as fast. At least for most.😉 For me, playing with your fingers give you more speed, more low end boom, and tremble. To each their own, though.. I have to admit though, I liked their bassist Jason Newsted as well. -He played with a pick too.. It's just when anyone plays Metallica's "Orion" they want to pay homage to Cliff Burton, who played with his fingers. It's a unspoken rule of thumb to Metallica fans.
@@clover831 That's what I said. As fingerstyle is the traditional way to play bass, using a pick is " sacrilegious ", that's snobbery. And not being able to play fast using a pick is not an excuse not to use this technic, you don't need speed to play songs as Orion, you're just looking for an excuse to blame the pick technic, like all the other snobs.

I thought in that when i search pick bass Orion
loved how you used multiple tracks just like cliff in the original song, it makes everything sound more epic
if cliff and jason soul merged together
Great played! Great sound, sharp and even (the pick sound is ideal for metal).
Really good job with pick, congratulations.

Hi. What pedals are you using ? Thanks
I didn't use the pedals, I used the overdrive, distortion, compressor in Guitar rig5
@@lv.1900 how do u switch between the effects during recording?
do you record the whole song in regular tone then add the effects later?
thank you!
@@jigsawguitarcovers4236 I'm not sure but my amp comes with a preset switcher pedal so if you save it to your amp you could
Close but, NO CIGAR!

FAILED!. -Just for using a pick. That's blasphemy.😉
I don't practice with fingers so I can't cover metal with finger picking
What's wrong with using a pick on bass ? Like wtf you're all snobs
