    Can you sharpen a true convex grind knife like a bark river on the tsprof or just the secondary bevel convex?

      Not sure if I understand you correctly. For better understanding, message us to sales@tsprof.com with the example and we'll tell you for sure.

      Sounds like a question of bevel width, where there isn't technically a bevel with convex but he's asking how wide the bevel can be supported with the lens(convex) attachment? Does this help? maybe a product idea to widen the convex?

    Bought this attachment, huge flaw design in Ko3 Hunter, you cannot go lower than 11° with this attachment, lower end of this attachment is hitting round middle console, thus preventing you from sharpening, only increasing degree to 11°+ allows you to sharpen, I wanted to sharpen at 8° with convex edge, but its not allowing me

      can use a middle man mounting mechanism to extend stroke, not perfect but it works for now.

      Optimal angle for convex blades not less than 36 degrees. Otherwise such edge will not last long due to its small durability.

      I am using the kadet and the fully adjustable ko3 convex tool.... I attached and it works fine. Yes it is not designed for the smaller diameter kadet rods. Set the screws and stop crying. Seriously, stop crying.

    What is a convex edge? How is it different from the other edge?

      Google knife edge geometry. Apart from the geometry of the edge a convex edge is stronger and holds and edge longer than other types but is harder to sharpen

    Curious, my new system didn't come with the rubber bumper for the end spring, was that removed from newer kits for some reason?

      That's strange. Please, send us a message to sales@tsprof.com to find a solution.

      @@TSPROFSharpening three unanswered emails... Over 1k spent on your products and zero support?? I even called and got no help. I was told to send an email.... For what? No support at all!? Unacceptable!

      @@TheFlyingduck88Have you tried reaching out to Konstantin at Gritomatic? I bet he could help you out as he is a dealer for them and will likely have greater pull in getting a response than you will (as unacceptable as that is). In fact, he may even have that part in stock to send you right away. Hope that helps!

      @@jamestattersall640 to make each side match ? I mean the whole point of the tool is to provide a convex on the edge. I don’t get adding degree or .1 to the edge while already in process of sharpening. Thanks for the info by the way

      @TSPROFSharpening  Год назад +1

      Just to speed up the process. By raising like that you spend less time sharpening.
