Still holding off on the cell phone thing. Never had one. don't want one. But, now they're making it so you NEED stupid apps to even park! But, so true....best music, most fun generation. We were very lucky to be a part of that!👍
Hey man thanks for reacting to this! You're awesome brother! Peter Rivera, the lead singer/drummer is my father and I'm going to send this to him. He'll love it! You would be amazed how many times he got the reaction of "what? Those guys were white?!?" when they heard them perform. You want to hear a fun one... Check out Kanye's song "Fade" from his Life of Pablo album. The whole track is my dad's voice singing "I feel it fade..." They sampled his voice only from his Rare Earth track "(I know I'm) Losin You". Love how music can bring people together!

Perfect song to celebrate the anniversary of your asking Mrs. Jamel to marry you!!!!!!! wooo hoooo! Happy to see you moving and smiling. Thanks for your reaction. Take care, Jamel..... be well and be safe. Peace.

My boyfriend and I use to take show pictures in the 70s. I still have some that are gems. We wouldn't sell them or anything. It was just so we could have memories of the event. It was just thrilling to process the film and see what kind of prints we'd get.
Missed this concert by a month. Was mustered out of the navy, some friends and I had made plans to go but the ship I was on departed early for another WesPac cruise. Had no place to stay and had accrued leave money I didn't use and thought I'd better head home or piss it all away. I did that when I got home instead, so when I saw this on the news I coulda kicked myself !
This was taped by ABC and shown with some interviews with different band members. Geatest was interviewin Ozzy, he was stoned out of mind trying to answer the questions. Ontario Motor Speedway which was torn down not long after Cal Jam 2.
Cal Jam 1974 Ontario motor speedway I was 15 years old. We were in the middle of 300,000 people. Deep Purple, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Black Sabbath, The Eagles, Jackson Brown, Earth Wind & fire and more, Great times.
I was there. 15 years old and up front by stage right. The drummer here, Peter Hoorelbeke (a.k.a. Peter Rivera) started the set by saying "Top of the mornin' to ya!" Earth, Wind and Fire played after them. Incredible!
I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've seen this video and it kicked a**. Rare Earth killed it that day. When I was stationed in England in the mid 80's and early 90's Rare Earth was still big in Germany.
