Andy a fantastic video again and that cosworth is looking better than new I cannot believe the work which has been done it will look and drive like a million dollars when it is done it will be fantastic to see you enjoying driving it and will be a car that will put a smile on your face I am sure Looking forward to seeing the restoration continue in future videos all the best Daniel
Thanks for watching the update Daniel, and for following the restoration. The way I have had the engine built means it should run better than new, tuned to run with new fuels and giving a nice linier boost (reducing lag). Not over the top, just nice and usable power. I am very excited to drive the Sierra, but also looking forward to taking my time fitting the interior and finishing off the few jobs to make the car just right... or so I hope! Thanks for the continued support.
Been waiting to see the cosworth again. Pretty sure it will eventually make No 1 on the list , more so if it’s on the road in the summer! only ever seen a few in silver.
Thanks for the comment and for your patience, I know it has been a while for an update on my Sierra. I too am sure it'll climb the list when I start to use it more... I am enjoying the restoration (not the spend), but I cannot wait to drive it when finished. Thanks for watching and following the restoration.
I like very much your videos Im a Ford lover all my life, an uncle had a sierra same model as yours but the 2.0 and what a machine..... At the moment i have a Puma ST and its a very good car. Keep showing your car collection and yours great Ford collection😮
Thanks for the comment. It is great to know you enjoy my videos, I appreciate it. The Puma ST is a fantastic car - lots of fun. Thanks for watching and for following the collection.
It's coming on nicely, Any chance when it's finished you can do some filming at castle motors showing off the silver English electric lightening that would make a great back drop video shoot. Merry Christmas 👍
Thanks for the comment Richard and for following the Sierra restoration. I'll certainly get some photos in front of the English Electric Lightning, as you say it'll look great. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the Sierra. I am enjoying the project and can't wait to drive it - hope you stay tuned to see it finished.
Looking excellent Andy mate , can’t wait to see at the shows in 2024 😊 , was grate caching up with you at the Christmas breakfast meet see you again in April,, all the best pete ( petenofear )👍
Great video again. The Sierra is looking lovely...except the tailpipe which doesn't look right, even now. Ford did a great job in the day, giving the car a subtly larger bore pipe which didn't protrude the bodywork. Merry Christmas.
Thanks for the comment, great to know you enjoyed the video. I do agree the exhaust will need changing at some point in the future, but this one will have to do for the next 12mths until the car is finished, run in and I am confident it's all good. Then I can look to the cosmetics of the exhaust. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comment, it is great to know you are enjoying my videos and cars. I did own a Granada Mk2 a few years back, it was great. I'll put some photos in a future video or you can see it on Facebook. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comment, I hope you enjoyed the update. We did the cooling fan loom and engine loom, but left the fuel pump loom as believe it to have already received the upgrade. Thanks for watching, stay tuned.
Hello Andy Well at last a Seirra cossie update and thank you for doing one its been tooooo long 👍 What can i say except its gonna be a real stunner when finished and your going the right way about it as ok 16mth in restoration and more to go but restorations take time effort dedication and od course a lot of money but restore a car correctly and you only have to do it once and thats what your on track for mate. Personally id would of had a different exhaust tip of like a rolled 4" lip but ots your car and yoir preference that matters. So thank you once again and a very happy Christmas day to you and Cornish car collectors Best wishes Nigel 😎
Thanks for taking the time on Christmas Day to watch my Sapphire update, I appreciate it Nigel. I do agree the current exhaust is not right for the car so I will change it at some point, but it'll do for now until I get the car back together and road tested. Hopefully the next update will not be so long. 👍 Thanks for your patience and for following my story with the Sierra.
Thanks for the comment Chris and for the continued support for my Channel. The V8 is Boxing Day's feature car; I hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for watching this one.
Hi Andy, I'm not sure of your full line up of cars but am I right in thinking you're not a fan of the XR2 or XR4i? Or have you got one and I've just missed it?😀
Thanks for the comment. I've not got an XR2, albeit I have had two and loved both, and as for the XR4i, well I have never owned one by I do have an XR4x4. Thanks for watching the video and for following my Channel, I appreciate it.
Hi Andy, I’m in the process of a full restoration on my 4x4 staff Cosworth, your videos are really helpful and informative. Can you help me with what and where you purchased the 6mm bulkhead insulation from as I need the same before I have my engine put back in. Cheers.
Thanks for the comment and for following the Sierra restoration. I do agree, the exhaust needs changing at some point. Keen to get the car back on the road, run in and driving well before I look to address a few bits... inc. that exhaust. 👍 Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comment and sharing your thoughts on the exhaust. I agree, the exhaust is too low and is ugly. I'll change it at some point in the future, but for now full focus is on getting it on the road. Thanks for watching, I hope you stay tuned.
Thanks for the comment. I am just glad the engine is in and running! The car needs to go back to the engine tuner once all up and running for a final tune as it's not quite right at the moment, as you say. Please do stay tuned to see how the Sierra turns out. Thanks for watching.
What better way to start Christmas morning than watching your video
Thanks for the kind comment, I appreciate it and thank you for taking the time to watch on Christmas Day morning. Thanks for the support.
