Thank you so much for your tutorial on Peppa Pig characters, first time ever making fondant figures, so quite pleased. You were easy to follow, and this was very helpful, thank you.
I’m sorry, it’s been a long time since I did this cake but I would advise to cover polystyrene balls with fondant as this will help keep the weight down x
This is amazing and so realistic, I’m going to be making a Chocolate Peppa Pig cake for my sisters’s 5th birthday so I have a question, are you using fondant or modelling paste? I really don’t know the difference or what modelling paste is so thank you!
Thank you x fondant/sugarpaste is for covering a cake as it stays soft to eat whereas modelling paste will firm up. I always make models using saracino modelling paste as it’s easy to work with x
You can make toppers in advance x I would advise not to freeze them though as they may go soft and sticky when brought back to room temperature. Just leave them in a cardboard box (non air tight) to protect them from dust etc x
Thanks! And what are you using as edible glue? I read that you can also dissolve/mix gum paste with warm water to make an adhesive or use tylose power? What do you suggest as the easiest?
