I caught my husband having an affair with a 19 year old from work. Ten days later I found out I was pregnant. So I did it all alone. All the diaper changes, all the feedings and I remember the unbelievable exhaustion. When I see such a loving couple that shares these responsibilities it makes me realize all that I missed! But I’m so happy to know a love and respect like you two are showing exists. My “baby” is 29 now and she’s a beautiful human. We made it! ❤

You are incredible! Well done to you. My story is not as sad as that .. but I've been sitting listening and watching and recalling that I just didn't have that level of support either. My husband took a call straight after my first child was born (from, I suspect, a girlfriend from his workplace), raced from the delivery room to go watch a rugby game (2nd child) and decided after the second day (3rd child) that I was handling things so well, he could return to work (left me with a newborn and two young children to care for, two days post partum). I breastfed exclusively, no pumping all those years ago, and so he didn't ever get up to any of our babies during the night or do much at all throughout their infancies. Instead of feeling sorry for myself (and angry at the memory of him), I've just been thinking "Wow, I WAS amazing". Happily divorced haha! But you, are spectacular to have gone through everything alone. That is just next level of difficulty. I hope life is good for you now.

@@scrapper900 these are great stories. My mom raised me as a single parent, but not by choice. My father died suddenly when I was two months old, and my mom was left with no help to raise two adolescents, one preteen and an infant on her own. My two older sisters were wild and refused to help. They basically showed me the path of what NOT to do in life. My mom said she was so lucky that my one sister and I were so laid back. My mom went to work (thank goodness she had an accounting degree), sent me to daycare and was the best. We are very bonded. She had me very late in life so she is now 97. She is a great mom and grandmother to my daughters and has lived with me most of my life. She helped with my children, and now my husband and adult children are happy to help her in her golden years. Tiffany, after breastfeeding four children, including twins, let me tell you that if you over-do the bottle the baby will definitely give up the breast. After I found this out, I wound up having the breastfeeding experience I truly wanted. The others gave up much earlier than I wanted because I gave some bottles. If you don't do any more than one per day it might be ok, but don't go over that at all. It looks like Lawson is a great Dad and he participates in all of the other important ways so he doesn't need to feed him more than once a day and not even that if you want to exclusively breastfeed. I made it easier on myself by feeding the baby in bed and letting him stay there afterward. You both seem to be doing a great job. Bless you.

Another fantastic video. One thing I really love is how much praise and affirmation Lawson gives to Tiffany and how much practical help he gives. As a UK ex-Midwife I have seen so many women heaped with love and affection throughout pregnancy, only to be sidelined when the precious baby arrives. On top of that is the fact that most women will feel grief for their lost freedom when they realise just how little they have, that is entirely normal. In addition there are big physical, hormonal and practical issues to deal with. So a great big thank you to Lawson for repeatedly bringing it back to encouraging and supporting Tiffany. God bless you all xx

If little Will sleeps a lot during the day but awake a lot during the night, try this: During the day: wake for 3hrly feeds (get baby up, feed right away, back in bed within 45min - 1hr max). After the late night feed - 10pmish just leave him to wake naturally and feed when he wakes. Once you regulate the day time like this it won't take long and he will be on a lovely routine and sleep longer stretches at night. It seems strange to wake a baby if sleeping but the ideal is that he feeds 3hrly during the day (or more if needed) so he gets more calories so he can learn to stretch during the night. I've done this for all 6 of my children and my children have done same for the 10 grandchildren...it works!

Stop being so rude and criticizing everyone. You are seeing a teeny tiny snapshot of their life. If Lawson didn’t hold Will you’d be criticizing him for not helping, if they had Duke inside you’d be telling them they needed to be more careful with an animal around a baby, and on and on, and Will is not being hurt by Lawson’s firm patting to burp him. Chill. Thanks for sharing your life with us Lawson and Tiffany, I think you’re doing a great job. ❤

I honestly could barely move and developed a horrible infection on top of that due to difficulties in delivery. I would have been so happy to have true help..This was back in the days where they did not give epidurals! Also one can never know exactly when ovulation takes place and it could have happened earlier than you thought. I think he was more 'full term' than 'early.' I was worried they were saying he was a 9 pound baby and all I could think of was "how in the world will little Tiffany push out a 9 pound kid?" I'm so glad he was only 7.2. This isn’t majority of the comments but it’s a lot of them. Instead of saying Lawson let Tiffany talk let her hold the baby blah blah blah. Instead of tearing them down lift them up. Lawson you were an amazing husband and coach during labor. It’s great how much you help with baby Will. What a great hubby helping so much with baby Will so Tiffany can heal. Lawson’s a talker, I’m a talker a lot of people are and some aren’t into so much talking. Let them be, it Tiffany doesn’t like it I’m sure she would say something. As for holding the baby, Tiffany carried him for 9 months nourished him, and loved him to grow big and strong, it’s Lawson’s turn to help nourish, love and help him grow big and strong. Reading negative comments can’t be good for Tiff hormones all over the place. It’s not hard to be kind, and say kind encouraging things. Lawson and Tiffany you are doing amazing and baby will is so blessed to have you as his Mommy and Daddy. Big bro Duke is going to be an amazing big Bro. Love you for Sunny San Diego. 💙💙💙💙💙

    Congratulations y'all!
Someone might have answered this - my apologies if so - She didn't tell you how many stitches because they aren't individual stitches like in other places. The stitch material comes attached to a needle and the first motion is to insert the needle then pull through to the end of the suture material. They then make continuous gathers (or we call them "bites" - not sure how else to word it) as many as needed to close the tear. Once done they tie a knot using the end of the suture that’s been sitting there since the beginning and the remainder of the suture string and lastly cut off the needle and excess stitching material.
A better gauge of how severe the tear was is to ask what degree it was (first = mild, second, third, fourth = very severe). Your conclusion was good one - better not to think about it too much 😉
