So happy to see house decor with colors other than 25 shades of gray! They are really coming together as a team and she is really learning the ropes in combat. Good idea to bring in a designer as she is learning. Bravo. So hard to come into a show like this after another lead. It is very pleasant not to hear all the tension from the previous show. Sounds like they are actually enjoying the journey!
Tarek is truly in love with Heather. She's is his real soul mate and partner for life. Ive watched HGTV everyday since 1998 and Tarek's show was one of my favorites. He seems to be more happier, healthier, and whole with Heather. Looks like they have the same goals. Blessings to them.
Also when the space has already a decent size and and seems big with one floor plan that's not open concept, taking down walls would actually make the space look much smaller and even not looking large anymore, often the floor planners aka architects know what they're doing, open concept isn't always the way to go.
Heather's design style is very sophisticated, elegant, and for a certain class of people. However, if you want plain simplistic design and color Christina is the one.
There's a huge difference in the years between both of them and their designs. Christina did amazing when she was with him years ago. These are today's designs and prices

Houses cost more now than they did five years ago, and materials are more expensive as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if contractors and laborers also charge more now as well.
The location of the house with Christina was in a middle income neighborhood, while this house is located in a higher income neighborhood. Materials used would be higher end depending on the location.

As far as I am concerned, I don't think it matters who is casting the video. Maybe this video is promotional? but clearly there is no surprise, anger or pain from the interaction with the people.... Just renovating a beautiful house is not dramatic enough. Please give us more emotional scenes from the sessions with the designers. Personally, the scene where Tarek gets naïve about his financial situation motivated me to be impressed with the final product.

Why aren’t you adding soaker tubs to the larger bathrooms and showers to big waste of space. How about some space for cabinets for towels, etc. need storage in bathrooms. People like laundry rooms rather then closets.
I'm guessing Heather is his new girlfriend bec her always refers to her as "honey". Christine was nice but had expensive taste. I'd like to see what she can do. Not big profit but within their range for 1M $ house.
Right, the stone walls were beautiful and I love the planter underneath it. They could have just revamped it instead. Still a beautiful house either way but I wish they didn’t change it.

That shower was too large. Cleaning would be a problem all the time. That size would make me turn away from purchasing this property. Sorry 'bout that. Sometimes designers need to be practical.
All your redos to much BLACK! Great redesigning of spaces etc. To much black in kitchens. Not much color variation in the different houses in all the videos. Beautiful completions great taste and lovely couple interaction.

looks good, but the profit is only 10%. For that size of investment i think he could find a better return in other properties
