Note: This is an unprofessional matrix of two audience recordings done by me, mixing is a bit fucked on the first two tracks due to the damaged tape. Also it seems like McMahans mic was turned off that night (if present at all) resulting in a very drowned vocals.
Goddamn, Rhoda absolutely exploded. Just imagine being there, good lord. Four kids walk onstage and take ages to tune. Then they unleash the most dark, angular, uneven, odd, and unsettling music you've ever heard, all while standing perfectly still. What the fuck.
This version of Darlene makes me feel things I can't put into words.
hasnt played yet but i cant wait to hear it
Absolutely great song
These guys were like in a time warp. So weird, I mean 1989 and these young dudes came up with this stuff??? Must be aliens.
goes absolutely ridiculous, crazy how cutting edge their sound still feels
Coming in pretty unbiased and objective with no peer influences etc this is exceptional. I can’t believe these guys are basically children, young adult children, but nonetheless. This is some sophisticated stuff for even older mature musicians. Wow.
They deserve all their accolades: as a group and then individually for other groups and work since.
honestly tweez has never and probably never will get the love it deserved and still deserves. fuckin masterpiece right up there with spiderland
@@clarkcant4818 It's a fuckin shame man. Listened to the album for the first time yesterday and was blown away. Can't believe it was recorded in '87.
i’m in love with this band so bad
that version of washer is fuckin crazy, makes me feel more anxiety than the usual but i know its because its faster. where as for the version on spierland i get a much more mysterious/eerie feeling under the anxiousness
"we exten yo howa do elefen therdy" - damn, you couldn't make this shit up - holy lord this is so amazing - we need on vinyl as of yesterday. STAT.
Even if the quality is low it sounds amazing. Great performance.
Thanks for this gem Wilczurin
It’s v high quality sound
Glenn is a masterpiece...
Slint is a masterpiece
Fckn incredible. I tried to picture myself walking in to the venue with no idea of Slint. I'd have been completely blown away. Fckn unbelievable ... on so many levels.
This is the most magical thing I’ve ever heard. How the fuck did they recreate this album, live. Sometimes at a way higher tempo, like Rhoda. Theyre gods
my personal favorites are ron and rhoda of course
who was speaking spanish in the intro XD
Washer sounds dark as fucked
this version of Rhoda is fucking epic
28:38 that burp 🔥
Holy shiz! Is this the show w/ The Jesus Lizard? so good
this is The best version of Rhoda
Everyone knows the best rock shows of the 80s took place at Thai restaurants on Irving Park Road.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!
I can only imagine the fury of the closing of the set with a sublime version of Rhoda. To be there then...holy fuck
gracias
So much potential there, amazing.
Washer sounds so cool here. Completely different mood. more depressed and angsty than actual sadness and despair if that makes sense
mellow washer
My brother is the one yelling out “typing!”
outstanding 👏 👏 👏
Any chance you'd be willing to share the WAVs/FLACs from this matrix? It's really well done. Thank you so much. Incredible glimpse into their prime.
Awesome! Do you happen to have The Jesus Lizard's set from that night?
😮😭😲😃 eye opening 🤭🤗
where was this place? it was slightly before my time, I know the Jesus Lizard lists this as their first show (I think part of this one)
Do you have a download link in flac quality?
this is a mix of 2 cassette recordings from the audience at the show, flac file wont change the quality at all really
@@koltyg yeah it actually will. RUclips compresses everything.
