ive been introduced into fishing within the last two weeks and got my own trout/bass rod setup since then and was also recommended your channel. i cant begin to say how much fun this sport is and how much your channel has already taught me. thanks for all you do jon B
I'm LOVING these trout videos so much man. Thank you for exploring it. I'm an Illinois boy myself and have recently started traveling all over the Midwest chasing trout.
Jon! I’m from Washington and I would love to see you fish Lake Crescent! It is the only lake in the whole WORLD that has Beardslee trout in it! I’ve only ever caught 1 out of there but I’ve always wanted to go there more often but never have time! If you ever have the chance you should go there I think it would be super cool to see you fish for these one of a kind Beardslee trout! Much love fish on 🎣🎣
Loved this video and it's one of my favorite videos of yours. I love the educational value this video holds and hope to see you so more. Thank you very much.
currently watching this from my 9-5. man i pray my side hustle replaces my 9-5 to be able to what you do. and thats going all around the world to fish. but also enjoying others states or country’s. good video bro.
We have char in a few of our rivers in Washington. They're known as Dolly Varden or Bull trout. Not allowed to fish for them in most places. I was lucky enough to catch maybe a 3.5 pounder on a legal river years ago. Beautiful fish.
Hey Jon, We have lot of Artic Char in Iceland. In some lakes we call them invasive. I need to try fishing Veiðivötn Iceland. Its my all time favorite fishing.
I swear the RUclips world is a small world .. I heard you say Jakob a few times at the beginning of the video .. when I got comfortable and saw who it was .. Wasn’t expecting seeing him so high from his lobster boat ..😀😀
Thanks for sharing the video! I've always dreamed about catching an Arctic Char, ever since I saw one in a fishing magazine when I was a kid, (that was over 50 years ago)! I have a few of those Megabass Karashi's in White butterfly 🦋, I'm sure it would be perfect, it looks alot like the bait you were throwing for the first few fish you caught!.........FishOn......Jim
@@ryderwernicke9867 You're right but look at the salmonidae phylogeny, salmos (like the brown trout) and salvelinus (like the arctic char) are really close, they're like cousins, coregonus is like the great great uncle on your mom side you've seen only once at Christmas when you were 4 years old.
I was worried about this next video but this is pretty cool. So there will be no need for me to hit the nearest child with a full sized doll house do to potential discontent. 🙌🙌🙌
Texas killed all the deer in east Texas in the 30s along with the black bear. Elk were in central and west Texas but they were also hunted out. Grocery stores, as we know them, didn't exist. In the East Texas Big Thicket, the people would release their hogs to roam wild throughout the Neches River bottom. Once a year, everyone would round up all the hogs and cut their ear marks in the hogs born during the year. Many people were killed over hogs in those days. The ear notches were registered with the state even back in the 19th century.

I’ll give Jon 3 years and he’ll be flying his own sea plane. You know the wheels were turning in his head when he was sitting in that cockpit.

🎣🎣🎣🎣
Wait it’s lobster guy!

All the deer in east Texas were transplanted from other states.
Well they decended from those deer.
