My girlfriend wants the cottontail ghost shell, I am going to try an get it for her. Solo prophecy isn't something I ever planned on doing, and this video is exactly why. I hope you find entertainment in my suffering.

What you’re about to see is possibly the most rage inducing task I have attempted in Destiny 2 thus far. Before we hop in to the meat of the video I need to give you some background on why I’m even doing this and why my void Titan is wearing Ashen Wake. If you watched either of these videos then you know that my girlfriend is just starting to get into Destiny 2 but, isn’t very good at it yet. She’s also very into the fashion if you can’t tell. I was showing her some ghost shells and one in particular stood out to her, the cottontail shell. She thought it was adorable and was disappointed to hear that you must complete the prophecy dungeon solo to earn it. Long story short I’m gonna try to get it for her, only problem is, her account isn’t exactly super developed and she doesn’t own any of the expansions. She has 2 exotics, riskrunner and coldheart. I knew this would be a challenge especially because I’ve never solo’d prophecy before and it… well you’ll see.
After opening the second door I layed eyes on the final target, I had a bad feeling about him, but to get there I had a couple other things to do first. I bumped up her graphics settings a bit and it was on to the first encounter.
This boss is fairly straight forward and I’ve never really struggled with him. Yeah that, that was about to change.
It took me a while to even get to a single damage phase. If the psions didn’t kill me then the knight’s we’re quick to finish the job, if the knights didn’t kill me then the boss was always there to gently remove me from the arena. Although I did actually get an exotic engram to drop, the first random exotic on her account. I was really excited, certain exotic armor pieces could really help turn the tides of the night.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this one, honestly I figured it would either be really easy or really hard.
Well would ya look at that it was really easy, 3 attempts, and moving on.
I thought the first boss was bad, this was just awful. I swear the temperature in my room must have gone up ten degrees as I get more and more heated. Literally the only thing saving me now was void 3.0.
It was almost 3 in the morning and I was really starting to lose my patience.
I laid in my bed trying to go to sleep. But I was pissed. All I could think about was the dungeon and how close I was, I hate giving up. But as I lay there I remembered my exotic engram, that goddamn borealis, and I just started laughing. All of a sudden the situation was just hilarious to me. At this point, I don’t know if I can manage getting her this ghost shell, part of me wants to try but it was so difficult that I’m not even sure I can pull it off with her current loadout. So here’s what I’ll say, if you enjoyed this enough to want to see me try again on her account, then like the video and if we reach 115 likes I’ll do it again. You may be wondering why 115, I just like that number. So if enough people want it I’ll give it another shot, if not, I will gladly stay away from anything and everything pertaining to this Kell Echo.

7:01 Pro-tip: Unless you're using Peregrine Greaves , slide before a Shouldercharge. Not only does it extend your range but also makes you slightly harder to hit for a moment.

Honest to god, it took me almost 2 years to solo flawless this dungeon and it was terrible.... due to my own abilities, phalanx echo was the one that gave me a migraine because any time he would boop me off the platform it felt like I was in final destination in a smash game but I want to say this, you got this man I believe in you :)
There was that one warlock fragment that bypassed his shield

What did you even use to struggle for 2years ? If you are not a hunter main then start using it . Equip omnioculus , use your smoke to go invis , dodge near an enemy to get your smoke back and do it all over again the whole freakin dungeon and if you have trouble with getting booped off the map then use a sword , just 1 sword swing and a jump can take you back and stompees are amazing in jumping sections or hammer throw the whole dungeon with lorely on a titan or if you are that desperate ... stasis warlock! Witherhoard , trinithy ghoul , riskrunner is amazing for add clear , guns like xenophage , gjally , thunderlord that can do it all , dps , add clear , killing yellow bars. And all the mods , stats , fragments , aspects you can equip nowadays ... Cmon man!
Very few Destiny videos display the anguish and pain of being limited by weapons and gear while attempting a difficult task solo. You have accomplished that. Great content; thank you.
I solo flawlessed prophecy a while back in season of the splicer, and it was the most infuriating 3 days of my life, but hey i got a sweet emblem out of it
And now you can just use Loreley. I finally got the emblem, but it wasn't satisfying in the least. It felt way too easy with Loreley keeping my alive to be satisfying.
How did it take 3 days
I did it on a new light account after 4h of gameplay did it on solar warlock with riskrunner the blue cup bearer rocket and a random Gl
@@thedrifter1111 3 days of failed runs, until i got a solo flawless run. It probably wasnt a great strategy just running it back to back in retrospect, but it is what it is.
The only dungeon that I nearly solo'd thus far was Shattered Throne, which I nearly did by accident (first try) trying to get a Thrallhalla checkpoint when no one else was on. Decided to keep going and got to Dul Incarnu before I was killed. Plan on doing it legitimately sometime soon here.
Just keep in mind that you have time limit during last boss damage phase (cleasning pool in the middle stops working if you don’t finish fast enough) get all 3 knights low with the help of something like riskrunner, wait for shielding crystal just to be sure, destroy it and kill them at once, then easy onephase boss

I remember solo flawlessing the dungeon back in Season of Arrivals. Though I was successful, I had the biggest scare of my life during the final boss. I returned to the main room after like the fourth damage phase and was greeted by three ogres that already spawned. I got thrown around in the air by their eye beams and it took me a couple seconds to realize what was happening. Good thing I had riskrunner

Prophecy remains my only solo flawless to this day, and goddamn what a feeling. Was shaking constantly while on the final boss along with ridiculously intense concentration.

alright, now you HAVE to try again (i'm ether the 115 or 116 liked on here). Make sure the Light lvl is a bit higher if possible, could help.
Light level wont affect this dungeon im pretty sure
couple of tips for the final boss, use a sniper to kill the hobs early in damage phase, def use the finisher fragment or devour on void or switch to solar to get health back for melee and ohk everything, riskrunner gives dr when stoved

I suffered so much with solo prophecy flawless in season of arrivals, that the phalanx echo, fall damage and lack of ammo at the second half of the kell echo boss phase might as well be a nightmare for me in season of the haunted.
Homie u went in with only 2 exotics and like ZERO good legos..... ALSO without ever even soloing it...... as a person who has solo flawed it, u are a legend my dood
A really nice progressive video. I enjoyed it. Although I don't know when the footage was recorded, I would like to mention that xur sells a titan exotic plus an exotic engram. You have trouble dying to mostly knights and ogres, and im sure you already know this, but I highly recommend putting on either double concussive dampener or mixed with the seasonal mod, arc/solar damage resistance. If you're willing to, you can grind strikes or crucible to reset your rank for an exotic after a single reset, and you can get 21 activity clears to get another exotic. This dungeon was my first ever solo flawless dungeon, and although it's funny to see people struggle, I know what it feels like to be in your shoes, I hope my information was helpful, can't wait to see a sequel.

Glaive with the suppressing glaive mod makes it quite easy. It blinds the knights pretty easily plus u can use it to melee enemies. If u use the void fragment that gives health regen on melee kills ...it procs on glaive melee kills.i did use it to get to second encounter before i got lazy and left.
Should of gotten the devour on orb aspect, could of helped u out alot

This I can relate to so much, not the specific situation. But learning to solo dungeons, ironically the friends that got me into destiny either don’t have the expansions or are busy like all the time and it’s just. Doing it solo takes ages lmao
This video, alongside some comments from my friends, inspired me to Solo Flawless this encounter as the only class I play, Warlock, with Solar 3.0; took 3 full tries and my clear was a whole hour 20 minutes long, but I got it done!

would reccomend trying this now with a solar 3.0 titan build, you'll be near unkillable
This would take a day or two, but getting an exotic cipher would help. You can get 2 exotics from xur in one visit from it, or you can buy sleeper for dps if you have an ascendant shard.
I have less than 5 total completions in prophecy and thanks to solar 3.0 and classy restoration, it took me 3 attempts to do a solo flawless. This season is giving everyone a free easy shot in doing solo flawless on all dungeons, i suggest doing it while classy restoration is still available.
I say go for it, man. Myself as a slightly above average PvE-er, I was able to get my roommate the ghost shell. Now she isn't new but plays the game kind of casually. I think the only thing she had that your gf did not was Trinity Ghoul which put it in work.

Ok, so. I am going to give some tips that may or may not be helpful that’s for you to decide. So, for damage I would not be using a sword. There are better weapons that you can get from FTP accounts. I would personally use a rocket launcher. Palmyra B can be crafted and has auto loading lasting impression for some pretty high damage. If you can, grind some dares of eternity. You can get auto loading blinding blades on pardon our dust which is a god send in all the rooms. I would also look out for a funnel web. You don’t even need and exotic if you have one. Using void 3.0 and the aspect that gives volatile rounds on grenade kills, you can also pair that with a void helmet and the void orb mod, as well as the aspect that gives devour on orbs of light pickups to massively boost survival.
when i solo'd this the first encounter was honestly the hardest part of the dungeon for me
When Solar 3.0 released 2 weeks ago I tried doing this dungeon on Titan last weekend and it made solo flawless significantly easier ngl. Titan is damn unkillable
I did the grips of avarice which to me is one of the best dungeons. I did the shattered throne by accident because I was just trying to get to the thrallway, thought about it and beat it. My friends did the rest for me and the newest one. So I'm all good.
Hello! I just found this video, and honestly, you've inspired me to retry Solo Flawless GoA!
for the final boss, sword is not the way to go unless you can bait the teleporty ball consistently and it also exposes you to snipers firing line way too much. i might suggest any linear fusion if you can get a hand on one and switch to slug to deal with the knight. if not, autoloading rocket sniper swapping wil do the trick. or another suggestion i can give is a tube nade launcher with blinding grenade if you aren't using one already. the cc is borderline oppressive and will get you out of a lot of shitty situation (i think it also blinds the ogre). and just before you go into the funnel, clear the ogre and the ads then switch to the sniper and grab some ammo. if you want to continue on void titan the orb pick up for devour fragment is also pretty good but i think solar titan might be the play since you can get free healing and damage boost pretty much all the time now, and the super does provide a decent damage to reduce the load on heavvy ammo. some wacky melee hammer damage stacking shinanigans might work too, idk.
that or switch to hunter and abuse invis.

This season might be the best time to solo all the dungeons coz of Solar 3.0 and the resilience change. I finally did prophecy solo flawless last week with the infinite fusion grenade build and classy restoration saved me more times then I can count especially on Phalanx. Gonna be attempting the others for sure
I attempted to solo this dungeon so many times. The first encounter is a giant gate in this dungeon honestly and once I got past him I knew I had to finish this dungeon. Took me 5,5 hours and I lost my voice from raging NOT AT THE BOSS, but the god-forsaken add room. I felt like I just ran a marathon. It was a nightmare. But I finally had the ghost shell I wanted for so long. And I'm never taking it off on my Hunter.
I pick up all the weapons and armor for my brother on Friday from xur it really helps him a lot honestly and he got arbis from the star horse challenges first run ever
I spent 7 hours in this dungeon just to get this Ghost shell, I didn’t care about anything else in the game when I knew this existed, I just wanted it more than anything
And this was pre resilience buff

did something like this for a friend, best bet for the end is a linear fusion and something like a noob tube GL for the last encounter; it isnt fantastic but you can eek out a cleanish 4 phase with next to no gear or stats
I actually completed the Prophecy solo and flawlessly not too long ago. Invisibility and the Ostriga are a big help.

you should try using a rocket for final boss and focus on hobgoblins, as for the rooms just clear psions first and quickly take over 1 side of the map, then use it to camp and play it slowly until next ads, repeat. I would love to see this again

Solar subclass with classy restoration and loreley splendor helmet with max resilience basically make prophecy easy to solo flawless
Recently soloed prophecy after a 3 year break and sunspot throwing hammers ABSOLUTELY CARRY. I tried using ward initially and wanted to delete myself
I was watching this and I was like, y'know what for my first time imma try the dungeon solo, and I almost flawlessly did it
I solo Prophecy before, I gotta say. It's more challenging than I thought, but I use different weapons/subclass/exotic armor. It made me go through without any problems. I really don't try to commit to the kill, I would go for multiple phases for survival.
If you're looking to solo Prophecy (or even any other dungeon). Don't commit to do as much damage as possible, but rather take your time and take multiple phases.
Edit: I got to say, the first boss is harder than last boss due to the small space you have. Which last boss is more easier than I thought?
Hey, I just completed my first solo flawless Prophecy run not too long ago. Titan Solar 3.0 made it absolutely easy. It's not even funny how easy it was. Never had to reset.

Soloed Prophecy but failed on the final boss. I kid you not, pre-void 3.0 with just Graviton Forfeit felt like I was gonna puke. Now watching this, I am filled with DETERMINATION
I tried my first solo flawless yesterday, went for grasp and made it to Avarokk before falling into water, the mental fortitude is something I’m not sure I have lol
this is the modern equivalent to going out and getting that big deer so you can skin it and get her a new outfit

Actually finished the dungeon solo on my first attempt ever Yesterday 😂 (i used sunbracers solar warlock and Grand Overture) I had constant healing and finished in 3 hours, so next time, try on warlock, trust me
If u are falling out of the arena in the first boss fight, keep going out , maybe u may be a joining back instead of dying, I used to do that a lot when I tried to solo this dungeon
If the first boss boops me and I'm going way off the edge, I find it a lot easier to just turn around and try landing outside the ring. There's a lot of ground you can walk on out there.
Now for the final boss... yeah...

Well for the mote phase, I would try dunking on the offset and not new full set of knights, as in dunk when there's only one knight to minimize damage. Easier said than done, but maximizing survivability by minimizing damage is big.
During the actual boss damage I like to stay in front of the boss. I'm usually on top of the hobgoblins as they spawn. Mainly since I was always more likely to die from getting sniped than from the boss itself. The only problem is damage. Swords are great for major ad clear in the dunk phase, but not very safe for boss damage. Auto loading rocket is great for damage, but you'll lose out on major ad clear. Riskrunner is safe for clearing masses of psions but you might be able to swap the exotic slot by swapping riskrunner for a void weapon and volatile rounds. If you can run devour that'd help too.

If you haven't gotten it yet use the new resilience changes and get her a 100 resil armor set and try to get lorilie splendor if you can
it should make this really easy
I was half expecting you to beat it, but tragically not get the ghost because to returned to the checkpoint at the first boss instead of doing a full fresh run.

Ngl that Ashen Wake with Sunspots probably would have made this a lot easier. Constant grenades that heal you and leave burning spots on the ground is a lot better than an overshield on a long ass cooldown

I’ve only ever solo flawless grasp, I think it’s definitely the easiest I first solo’d it to learn the way to do it then went for the solo flawless
If you get knocked off the stage try to land somewhere itll respawn you back in the arena with no penalty
I actually did a solo flawless of Prophecy not so long ago, but damn it was tough, even with decent loadouts. Albeit just taking things slow helps a lot.
Pit of Heresy was much easier to solo flawless...
Anyway, with stuff like this, you just have to be patient I suppose. If you feel like it's not going too well and you lost your mojo after a few tries, well, try again sometime later. Tilting will only make it worse. That said, good luck with your future attempts of it!
Considering I solo'd the entire dungeon using mostly Fractethyst, interesting to see another pellet shotgun becoming the play in this case.
(I play all three classes, but Void 3.0 meant Hunter invis was OP as fuck - Hunter dodge, kill instantly with fractethyst, get volatile flow, free invis for 17 seconds)

I soloed a good chunk of prophecy myself. Never could get the final boss down
I started D2 mid time during season of the Splicer, watched mostly people's streams every so often a new raid and stuff, but people never understood our pain and struggle of starting like this while being a new light, *Free to play* , and limited while still having a lot of gear but still held back because of not having stuff like paid DLC supers, non free weapons, also not having physically everything one can actually think of that can be helpful... It's rough to be a free player especially when others expects you to have alot of other stuff locked behind a paywall. I've made it to as far as the boss while still as a free player, but I've already bought all the DLC's just so that I can catch up with overall and get into playing witch queen. I hope you beat this boss as a free account tho. And if you need inspiration just keep note that if I can make it to ~level 200 as a new free account AND a GM completion, so could you...! Gud'luk
BTW to anyone trying to run any dungeon solo flawless. If you are on void. USE DEVOUR. I promise it will help a lot

i can get past the first encounter without dying but once i get to hex room I fold haven’t found a solid load out yet for that encounter
Funny enough the first boss was BY FAR the hardest encounter for me. Took me 11 attempts to get past it, but once I killed him I steamrolled the whole thing.

took me about 3 tries - second to last try i made it to the boss w/o dying but i died to the debuff in the boss room - i didnt pay attention. Got it the following time flawless, void lock w/ devour and karnstein - witherhoard, ikelos smg and linear for boss
xeno for cube room - and sword heavy for first boss - this was season of the splicer btw
