This is a great costume production with good actors and a storyline that is quite different from other productions, even same-themed (martial arts) stories. I like this strong/capable FL even if she was recklessly invoking feelings in a man she only approached in order for her to be cured. ML was a bit stiff (acting-wise) for my liking. Other than that, this was refreshingly new and I truly enjoyed this one.
SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!!
In ancient times, FL is a Martial arts Master - the Holy Lord of the Skyfire Alliance - who has just come out of seclusion. Unknown to others, she has an inner demon, causing her to vomit blood when using her inner force. The cause is an encounter and intimacy with a masked man (ML) 3 years earlier. So to solve her problem, she decides to find the man.
When she finds him, using a jade-pendant to identify him, he appears to be the Crown Prince. So, she persuades the General to pretend for her to be his daughter so she can marry the Crown Prince.
As a last piece of advice, the General tells her that all men like a weak and obedient woman, so FL hides her powers and submits, leading for her to be bullied by the other concubines - and strangely enough, disliked by ML. But this woman isn’t capable of hiding her strengths and temper for long.
Meanwhile the Wolf King (ML) is searching for the woman he spent the night with 3 years earlier.
Trying to please the Crown Prince, FL ends up in a fight with ML who seems to be the arch enemy of the husband she wants to lure into bed in order for her to remove the inner demon. But this ML isn’t easy to deal with, nor is the Crown Prince.
Well, not spoiling too much, this has a happy ending.
