Nearly all notable naval powers make use of the multi-role frigate in their inventory.

Malaysia only have 4 frigates. 1. KD Lekiu 2. KD Hang Tuah 3.KD Jebat 4. KD Lekir.
Malaysia is building six Gowind-class frigates, which were later reduced to four or five due to many problems. The first ship is expected to be operational in 2027.

To the best of my knowledge the US currently has NO Frigates , however there is a new Frigate class underway called the Constellation Class based on the Italian FREMM design . I think the last US Frigate class of note was the Oliver Hazard Perry Class , the US however does have a substantial fleet of Arleigh Burke Destroyers based over three (3) flights , flight 111 is the current one under construction. Hope this helps you , and as i said it is just my thoughts from what i am currently aware of , cheers from Australia.

the Italian company fincantieri has just started building the first example of the constellation class. This new class is based on the Italian Bergamini class frigate. currently the Pentagon has funded the construction of 9 units. but the US Navy plans to acquire 20 of this class.

All US Navy frigates are decommissioned. Only using cruisers and destroyers as surface combatants. Oh yeah and basically some corvette type ships.
