2024... the way this still stands up
48 years old.. fuck we were spoiled for dance music in the 90s!
Great memories ❤❤ 48 years old too
58 year olds tooooooo amigos 👨❤👨 👨❤👨
Chicken oriental. Love it
43 still listening to this banger of an album, AHH to be back there
48 too ! I sense a generation here
One of the best ministry albums ever! Fact!!!!
The best... In my humble opinion.
By a country fucking mile
Boy George - imo the best dj that ever graced the decks - legendary
We were so spoiled back in the clubs then. The atmosphere when these tracks dropped was beyond anything we have now. So lucky to have experienced it ❤️
Yes I worked nightclubs etc can't agree more. It's never coming back
People didn't have phones to look at or hold in the air to take video of the DJ
Took the word out off my mouth 😺😺 very good
We was indeed - I remember eating cold tins of beans all week and just so I could get out in the clubs with a few p i l l s (Might have been Doves & Sunrises/Nigel Bens) Christ that sounds mental now...
I was at the Middlesbrough Empire one night when Lisa Loud was 2nd bill to Judge Jules and she utterly destroyed him, he was booed off and she took back over, one of the best clubbing nights of my life.
I forgot how good this album was..I had it when I was 17 now I'm 41 and still absolutely loving it.
43 now 44 next month.. I can see all my memories of this exact time in my head right now like it was yesterday... kids are missing so much culture music wise and clubs etc.. Not like whe we was young. Was all about fake I.d and getting into volts in Kingston for me 😂
I had it too when I was around same age
Still here in 2021 listing to this masterpiece. ✊✊👏 1996 you had to be there to experience the good times. No smart phones no Facebook blissful times good vibes good people & of corse vinyl.
Quit living in the past. There's loads of great music now, smartphones are good, there's less terrorism now than there was back then too.
but yeah, I had this on CD.. great album
Alright Grandad. 🙂
1996 all the way- good times. No bull.
@@syrus3k Smartphones should be banned from dancefloors. Get busy dancing
Pete tong was untouchable in this era
Oh absolutely, Pete Tong is a true Legend
And unlike J Jules could actually mix records lol
@@hornet1blue Charlie Brook mixed the Pete Tong CD

The transition between Professional Widow and Sugar is Sweeter is burnt into my memory
December 1996, I’d just passed my driving test and bought this cd and listened to it driving around in my beloved ancient brown Y-reg Ford Fiesta. The nostalgia! Life was way simpler then. Still love this album.
These tracks, the transitions and timing are burned into my mind. I don't have my copy anymore ( lost in a transatlantic move ) so haven't listened to this in years, but I remember it like it was yesterday. I'm 46 Years old and mid 90's were the greatest time to be alive IMO !!!!!!
Best ministry of sound album ever ... end of
But is it sexual enough, is the question?
I totally agree Andy plant!!! Those were the days circa 1996/97 I saw Pete tong and boy George in Melbourne for the ministry off sound tour at Carousel Red Heads nightclub THE BEST!!!
One half of a decade of dance was the best ministry cd to ever grace us the cj Mackintosh and Todd terry set is unbeatable
Agree 1000%
Retirement Commitment Ceremony
47 now and this is still one of the best ever Ministry of Sound albums and introduced me to Insomnia. Thanks for sharing
58 me lol 😂 😂
Insomnia will always be up there in the hall of fame of bangers
This is the best dance album ever!
1998 rolling in my uno turbo . The memories
Even in 2022, still the single greatest dance album of modern times.
it will never be bettered.
Best dance album ever made, no joke.
Oh my oh my,what an amazing Cd,had this way back then, wish I still had it,when music was just fantastic, best times of my life bopping away to this in the Dublin Clubs,Happy days,I'm 54 now!❤
I loved this ministry mix, and the best in my humble opinion, what a time to be alive and dancing all night off ya nut!! My son tries to tell me all about the DJ’s and their music, he’s got no clue how many amazing times I’ve had in the dingiest clubs in the back of beyond,! Just the best memories 💃
13 years old. Owing this and playing it on my technics stacker with wharfedale speakers my dad gave me. It was that loud it disappeared one day :)
Who's here in 2023 ❤❤❤

An introspective of house vol 3
Tony de vit , Dj Sonique are are my favourites of all time ....
Well said 😻😻😻
it's 2023, I've been here for actual decades now, still the best shit ever
Favourite kick ons mix of the 90’s & still love it
This album was proof that it's possible to wear out a CD. Used to blast this out in my Escort, 6x9's in the back shelf, all day long. Still a fantastic album!
6x9 yessssssss! I had XR2 fully Pioneered up. Good times😊😊😊😊
The Annual 2 has been & always will be in everyone's mind's a true Masterpiece & by far the best one that Ministry of Sound has ever done, luckily I own this on a double cd limited Edition album🤗🤗😄😄🎧🎶🎧🎶🎧🎶🎧🎶🎧
Me and you both!!
I absolutely love this Album so much & it's considered to be one of the best Ministry Of Sound cd they've ever made, all these where & still are the best bagin House tunes I've ever listen to & i still own this Album upstairs in my bedroom, Pete Tong really mixed these wonderful tunes remarkably well, I shall treasure these memories forever!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊👍👍👍👍👍🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🎧🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎧
Totally agree mate !! I was 17 when this came out. Underage drinking in the pub and my mate bought this and blaged the the bar man to put it on !!! Epic !!! The whole pub was jumpin ❤
@@paddyoconnor5362
Why thank you for enjoying my comments below Paddy, Oh i bet they where all jumpin for joy at the pub when this Album came out!!! The Annual2 has been & always will in all are hearts one of the best Ministry of Sound cds ever!!! Stay safe Paddy!!😉😃👍👍
Best MOS album release, hands down. It is a classic. Loved their Session releases too....and then they sold their soul to commercialism. Should have stayed the course. MOS lost sight of it's values. Era of the Superclub, Cash in $$$.
Agreed. Takes me back. Jason where are you from? You’re not my ex husband per chance who I listened to these tracks with are you? 😄
@@sharonanderson4288
Im from New Brighton Merseyside Wallasey North West, Thank you so much for enjoying my comments below Sharon!! Stay safe😘💖💖💖
Still my all time favourite album
💯% the best years of the clubbing scene, we have nothing like this now, Which is a complete tragedy, Friday and Saturday nights of my youth, the best years of my life, no violence just hundreds of people coming together for the music, ❤
When the ministry of sound was THE MINISTRY OF SOUND. Dressed up all in neon like a proper little club kid that I was…..!!! RIP Michael Alig… only God can judge you now… 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🥰🥰
WHAT an album! Leather cover and Ibiza when I was 16 years old! FANTASTIC!
I’m transported right back to the Tall Trees in Yarm in 1996 listening to this. Fantastic memories from absolutely belter tunes. What a mix!! 👏
Tall trees was the best, old skool night
Here in 2022 still LOVIN tunes as much as I did in 1991 onwards. Dance forever, stay young, live life, love & don't sweat the small stuff 😆💖💞💋 Keep going, zip up those boots❣💋
All transitions still live with me every time I hear this fantastic album!
This is one of those cds that you can play and listen to every track without skipping..... the tracklists were class, the mixing was class.... This cd was and still is pure class, I don't think they'll be an album that could touch this!!!!!!!
This mix started it all for me. Its been a long journey since...
The best and only MOS album I ever paid for.
Must be one of my all-time favourite mixs of all time Pete Tong is a legend 💙
I have not heard this for over 15 years still knew the songs before they came on loved and owned this album
Possibly the best dance album ever made! ❤🤩
I have this in my collection. Guess what I'm only 32! But I was mad on dance music as a child thanks to having parents in there 20's during the 90's. Yes I have young parents against my age. But Im so glad. Because I've had a lifetime of enjoying dance music. Although the following years 97,98,99,00,01,02 were great with the introduction of trance and garage. Still for me 1996 remains the best year for dance music. House music genre in particular was on absolute 🔥 oh and my favourite track was David Moralas in the ghetto on the second side
This is where it’s at!, can’t touch this masterpiece, just bagged a bargain off music magpie £2.26!! Be back in CD form in a few days, loved it back then, still gives me shivers now… nearly 49 but want to act like I don’t give a shit when listening 😉
Oh yes oh yes as Carl Cox says!!! Brings be back to the greatest city in the world NYC the place to be. A club with in blocks of each other. Limelight, Mars, Tunnel and my favorite Twilo with the best sound system ever. Those days are gone. Grateful I lived it before all this stuff going on.
One of my favourite albums of all time, I was 14/15, and having some of the best times in my life, brings bk so many memories, love it... Take care everyone
MOS in London, Hacienda in Manchester, Cream in Liverpool just some of the best clubs back in the 90s, added with Amnesia and Pacha in Ibiza, I am glad I lived through these times.
47 mins proper banging voodoo ray mix
The memories ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉2024
I have every annual up to 2009 all limited edition cases and with all flyers etc that were chucked in! I’m 40 had them from new! I’m stuck as my daughter does not want them and I do not want them to go in the bin when I kick the bucket 😬. Fuck!!! They’re historically amazing
this is where it all started for me I was 17 my sister brought me this on Christmas. thank you for the upload. Love from Birmingham 😊
THE best ministry of sound album ever 👌💃😎🙌
46 and this makes me feel young again!!
Same here ... Can't thank you enough for posting this CD here. It's close to 7.00 AM and it's my day off ... and the neighbours know it 💃🏮 Many many thanks, so many tracks that I had't heard for ages! 🦋💜🌞 Have a lovely and blissful day you all!
I still have this cd. I remember ordering it from overseas and it was very costly like the other ones I purchased. this cd mix is in my top 10
God damn!!!! ive been looking for this for ages....Tried buying it from EBAY but always scratched😆 Thanks! The best time
this cemented my transition from rave to house after listening and loving fantasia and then moving on to cream then hearing The Annual 2, this was a belter in the day. What a listen.
The best MoS annual! I still own this album and forgot how great an album it was until I fell across this vid! Awesome tunes!
Absolute banger of a CD.
Love it - captures the essential clubbing experience of the nineties. What's interesting for me is the difference technology has made for the mix cd. Back then, there was no beat sync; cue points; and harmonic mixing was with a good ear or just plain luck
Could be luck Or maybe skillz. Love 90s annual ministry. Hands down great vibes and some top disco samples.
Facts mate no autobpm and cueing. I think this album was mixed on vinyl but the sound engineers/Pete tong counted the bpms to make sure the mixing was tight
I still have this CD ... it was my fav to listen to when getting ready for a night out. Good times
Still got this cassette somewhere! Literally played it to death
in my bedroom with my mates before a night out. Good times❤
MEMORIES!!! Even the colour is iconic!
I was 7 when this was released and instantly recognised the cover from my dad's collection, definitely listening to this for the nostalgia.
Ministry of Sound at its absolute peak!
Oh this particular version of Tori Amos's - unprofessional widow vibrates through every cell of my body
I got this CD with the special edition sleeve along with my first ever ghetto blaster for my xmas around 1999, That was also the first time I ever heard the New Years Eve Essential mix on radio 1 ahhh the day's!!
The. Best. Ministry. Album
These were memorable days. When the nights were long and the love was all over. P.L.U.R✌️🥸👌
Back when Ministry of Sound led the way with cutting-edge dance. Now look at the piffle they chuck out these days…
When people dance and party together, rather than social media hate and be angry? Good days! Maybe music is what is missing :P
Unfortunately true, totally lost their way. MTV model of shite
Sad loss of Maxi Jazz what a legend. Starting at 59:00 one of the greatest most iconic dance songs of all times 💙💙💙
CJ Bolland is my fav!
CJ Bolland... Tori Amos... Class
Elephant and Castle!! . Awesome club. Life changing experience.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing album!!,90s was the best days for clubbing and having the best time ever, everyone just had a great night out !!,arrr the memories 😊
Wow..I'm old but still partying
Annual #1 and #2 were the best! Takes me back!!!
11.40 what a banger, as soon as that dropped I had flashbacks!! 🙌🙌🔥
I remember going to hmv swindon in 96 and buying this.. Love this particular album
.
Seen Pete Tong last Friday, he's still playing bangers :)
CD2 was also class, the mix Boy George does at the end from 'Let This Be A Prayer (Epic Mix) into (Don't Let Me Be) Misunderstood (Q Continuum Mix) blew my balls of back in 96, the exact moment the Dove & snowball kicked in I had this blasting, I'm not sure what was the most epic mix, the two tracks together or the double drop combo of a white dove & a snowball lol
Soooooooo good. Used to collect the Annuals and Anthems from MoS. Gatecrasher. Godskitchen. Cream. Breakdown. Goddamn I miss the 90s.
this set the standards in the day
Mkk1 fiesta banging this out an Alpine cassette player and a 10" eminence sub. Happy days.
One of the best albums I ever owned. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I had this on cassette lol great times
Voodoo ray, what a track
Generations come and go. Many pretend theirs was the best. All are correct but none will compare to this
In his own words..."We continue..."
STILL an Absolute Classic
🔊 those were the days. Brings me back 20 years 🍻
Twenty years! And the rest
@@naomismith1956 25 then 😂
Best annual ever 👌👌
53 now this music 🎵 flows through my veins ✨✨✨✨
Totally Love This 🎉
This is so old school omg
One of my favourite albums ever
Last 12 years of global poverty, in musical and general culture to find ourselves here in a return to the 90-2000 years of progressive techno-dance-electro (well mixed and selected like MOS can). Maybe another 10 years of the same kind on planet "ground" and we will emphasize indigenous tribal percussion sets with consoles either by telekinetic mixing or live by hands on skins ... (or cans?).
- PEACE -
body-mind-environment
love can be💥
This was the better (IMO) cd of the two. Thanks for the upload and bringing back to me some missed friends and the best of times memories
I think I bought about half these tracks on vinyl and a set of decks just so I could learn those mixes.
Amazing ❤
ahhhhhhh,ear gasm....makes me wanna dance
This is wot made me and the dance floor best pals back in 96.
This was the best club of them all in the early 90’s. I love this album thank you for sharing ❤
Wow! This epitomizes a beautiful year in the clubs, still raises the hairs for me lol. I still thank my lucky stars for being there. Best of times peeps x
