One key feature this bike has is it has RAM air-intake and NOBODY offers this in this sub 500cc segment. I'm just surprised to see people who post reviews on RUclips are unaware of it. Also Aprilia didn't advertise it my brother works on the assembly line for this bike that's why I know this.
That is cool but the power gain from ram air follows a square law directly correlated with velocity. The bike tops out at 120mph so the power gain will be negligible. Smart feature though.
@@Mapdigi same here. Matte finish and Indian environments never go hand in hand so this was the only choice I had. Turned out to be a boon because the white shade looks absolutely striking!
This is actually great for markets like India. This is actually Aprilia's first mass produced bike in India. Yes, Aprilia India does mostly 125-150cc sporty scooters with Piaggio engines. This costs significantly less than CBU units and eats up the competition in its segment.
Wow thank Yammie for pointing out that on the rear set being curved and being bolted on by with the the swing arm is a sign of being up market, 57 QC paint marks, and cut outs and vents on my CFMoto 450SS. CFMoto is in 5th place in Moto2, and 1st place in Moto3 World championship.
Its hard to just really get how nice this bike is in pictures and videos. Go to the dealer and see/sit on one, especially side by side to the Ninja 500. The Ninja feels cheap and pedestrian by comparison. Only thing I want right now is a good tune to get rid of the freaking flat spot in 2nd gear.
Bro you can trust made in India Bikes. In west bikes are for fun and wants. But in india it's a need. It's a necessary item and bikes have to cross high standards ie 'Indian roads' and heavy competition from Indian brands. In past few decades all these reasons forced the motorcycle industry in my country to make reliable and good bikes or otherwise face extinction.
@@airglide2 I get it, but people's demands are different, in west people need as much horse power or speed out of their bike. But in India people say that if this 2000$ bike won't last me atleast 20 years with minimum maintenance then I'm not gonna buy it. Reliable bikes isn't a feature, it's a necessity.
The special bits and incredible style will make this a runaway hit for Aprilia. It's the best small displacement bike since the 660 Aprilia. They are innovating way beyond other marques these days.
Listening to you saying praise to it after I bought a ninja 500 after listening to you for ages about the 400... This is literally he is just a friend situation... 🙄
You got a good reliable Japanese bike ,I heard of a lot of people have issues with the rs457 , mostly in the electronic and the breaking system, sexy bike, but not worth the gamble
I don’t know if I’m alone in this, but I kinda like that they used different numbers here instead of cookie cutter, “460”. Idk, maybe it’s just me. But my friend is having a lot of fun with the pronunciation: “FO-FIDDY-SEAVEN!”
You will need to replace the default disc pads to a cintered or racing pads for good breaking performance. Default discpads get hot really quick and start to fade really quick.
that rear set, now that you pointed out, looks weird and impossible to find an aftermarket... besides that, one more thing I have against it is the single front disc. that Bribre is not enough. An AL swingarm would also make it more upscale.
My dream bike and the 1st is my birthday. Literally never win anything and would be a life changer. I would daily ride it and send a video each day riding it. Even in the winter.
i just went with the trident 660 for my second beginner bike (from ninja 400) but i also really wanted the 457, just couldnt justify the price. however, that tach lag would get on my NERVES

For example tvs apache rr310 is a great example has a fabulous chase and interesting features for much lower price but they are not upgrading its capability i hope they do more like aprilia.
That is because in India bikes are much more than just a big boy toy. They are a necessity much like the West depends on cars a huge portion of the their population depends on bikes for their daily commute due to the very heavy traffic and roads. The fact is that if most raiders were real to themselves and what they really need even here in the USA nobody needs anything beyond 650-660cc in this case.
I don’t know if he mentioned it, but what does he have to say about the tires? I keep hearing that they are sketchy at best. Also if your reading this Yammie, I’m looking forward to your M-109 review!
Honest question… why does everything that’s not a 600 or 1000 get deemed “a beginner bike”. I’ve been riding for quite a while, and a lot of riders I know who ride for years end up going down to a lower displacement bike just as a nicer change to enjoy the riding experience despite the years or decades of riding under their belt
Never really an Aprilia fan, i barely hear about them, especially here in the Philippines, it sounds like a luxury brand than what most sports bikers would choose to buy.
