    Killing it with blade man!
Also, as a jazz drummer learning bass (electric), what do think I should really focus on in my practise? I'm getting pretty good with my scales and chromatic things, but I don't really know exactly what I should be focusing on. Thanks :)

As a jazz drummer, what do you want from your bassist? Work on those things

as someone who knows how to play both instruments you’re talking about, learn how to walk an improvised bassline around chord changes. start with blues; work your way up to standards, then get into rhythm changes and bebop. this means learning arpeggios, transcribing the greats (Ron Carter, Jimmy Garrison, NHOP, Charles Mingus, etc., but also look at some more modern guys like Christian McBride, Jeff Denson (in this video!), Avishai Cohen, Gary Peacock (he’s been around for a bit but look at his stuff but look at his newer stuff with Keith Jarrett) and Orlando Le Fleming), and learning the theory of meat and potatoes jazz chord progressions (for now, just major and minor 2-5-1s will do).

Thanks, Sam! Please check out my website lessons page - I have five different educational films there where I'm talking about playing jazz. (The concepts could be for any instrument, but I"m playing electric bass in those videos.) jeffdenson.com/lessons
If you would really like to speak with me further, you could reach out to me via my website as well.
      Best,
