I have three more trips from this year but not sure I’ll make videos for all of them. One more for sure. Some other trips too. Thanks for the comment- I appreciate it. 😊
I know I say this on every one of your videos- but my goodness! You go on the best trips. I have have have to try this this year. Living through you right now
@@flyfish-bowhunt-alberta Thank you! I appreciate you watching my stuff. Definitely a lot of extra effort that goes in to them, most of which go unnoticed. What brand is your raft? Im sitting here showing Tyler your video and saying we need to do this one day
I have two rafts. They are both made by Kokopelli but one was made directly from the factory in China. We placed a bulk order with them and were able to get a really good price. A buddy of mine (Frank) arranged it.
@@flyfish-bowhunt-alberta ok nice! They look awesome. I seriously drool over a trip like this. Bucket list item for me. Looks like It’ll have to be you and I that go 😅
Very Nice aaron I Fished that river a couple of years ago and man did I have an insane day! I Caught so many fish! nothing crazy in size but we did manage a big cuthroat and some fun sized bulltrout. Great Video!
Beautiful country to paddle through and crystal-clear water. Pretty skinny on the upper section, I imagine you bumped your bottom a few times. Those 2 fatty cutties were awesome! The bull trout were not looking well fed.
Yea, we did a lot of walking of the top half of Wapiabi Creek, but once we got into the more defined canyon, the water levels rose and it wasn't too bad. Yea, those were some nice cutties, that's for sure!. I lost a couple of big fish on the second day that may or may not have been bulls.😊
I noticed you commented to be wary of paddling anything “creek” in the name- I can think of a few reasons possibly why, but wanted to ask you specifically what you meant in this particular video. Just curious ;) - great video, really very much enjoyed watching!
In general, creeks are smaller and have less water volume than rivers. Therefore, in situations when water levels are low (like in the fall), there may be not enough water depth to float a loaded packraft in a creek, resulting in a lot of walking (while dragging your raft over shallow water). 🙂
Hey fellas, well done. I’ve fished the blackstone and Wapiabi every summer for the last few years, always wondered what the more remote areas looked like. Can you tell me what brand and model your kayaks are? Cheers.
I would if I could 😀. Both our rafts were build directly at a factory in China. We made a bulk order with some other guys and it reduced the cost significantly. So the rafts in this video have no brand name. I have another raft that is a Kokopelli, which is more set up for whitewater. Stikine is a company in BC that makes nice affordable rafts, as well as some other really nice packraft accessories (dry bags, paddles, etc.)
@flyfish-bowhunt-alberta I was fishing solo haha, just before the group of 3 people in the video. You can't exactly see me. But I know the river quite well lol so I could pick myself out
They were purchased straight from a factory in China (bulk ordered for a good price), so they don't officially have a brand. The same factory makes boats for Kokopelli, though.
Love these float trips of yours. Hopefully you got a couple more to get us through the winter!

Greetings from sunny Australia. Great video. Well paced. Friendly and great scenery and fish. Keep it up!
Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback! - 31Celsius here this morning. 😊

Thanks! Packrafting is so much fun! Love you videos too. I know how much effort goes into them. 😊

A couple of big cutties for that small creek. Cool trip!
Yep, it was a cool trip. 😊
The confluence at the end has an amazing pool
Yea but well known. There were people fishing there when we were there.

Thank you! Cheers!

Thanks! I appreciate it. I’d love to have that kind of day on the river! That’s awesome 😊

Im pretty sure i saw you guys that day on the river! I believe if you zoom in you can see me just after 14 minutes.
LOL. Yep, that was the only group of three people we saw, so that must have been you. I hope you caught some fish!!

That's funny - I didn't even notice. 😊
That's where the big cutties are hey? I know that big rock well. I find that that system fishes poorly for such beautiful water! Just few fish per km.
I agree 😊
Yep if you stay right at the y fishing stays good but head up here and it’s slow but great views
What brand of boats are these please?

Thank you. They look great 👍
