Afam, you really went the extra mile to show us this one. I've always known Agungi to be one of the most vulnerable and flood-prone areas in Lekki, seen pictures of houses get submerged in flood waters and this only corroborates my previous knowledge.
Keep it up bro! Big fan! 👍🏽👍🏽

These roads need 2 feet of sand filling and deeper drainages that must be cleared regularly. The community and the government should both collaborate to get it done and to see it maintained.
This parts of Lekki always floods. They appears to be the old farming settlements nobody in Lagos wanted to visit back in the day until that opportunity was created when Lagos state ran out of land. Then overnight Lekki became hotcake. This is a consequences of lack of planning before the area was developed. What drainages did the state build? And how are the existing drainages that aren’t fit for purpose are maintained and cleaned of silt that blocks it?

The water in the drainage are not moving. The drain itself is very shallow not wide enough the contain much flood. The roads are narrow, not well planned. Waste money on interlock without planning for flood control machanism...

This is really disgusting to be a ridiculously expensive part of Lagos state to be honest.
And it’s been going on for years now. There is an apparent pathway for a floodplain as the flood recedes after an heavy downpour.
Why has the Lagos state government failed to do anything about it? 😡

This ppl just think that building house and adding "gutter" go solve all their problem. Drainage are strategically planed. This agungi is always the issue. I didnt know osapa has flooding issue as well.
