    That worked! Just 2 tips:
    1. as been said, don't forget to order the $12 adapter, it's not included for some reason. (Hey, Haloview, if this is marketed as a furrion replacement, please include the adapter)
    2. it's easier to attach the adapter with the camera mount first, on the ground, then screw the whole thing to the trailer. those nuts are small and the space is tight.
    Good luck!

    I have the same camera system and Furrion prewire. I used the rubber gasket from the Furrion mount as a backing for mounting this camera and ran the wire right through the middle hole I created.. It provided a more weatherproof seal for the large wire holes and I was able to silicone the top of it to seal it.

    One of the things I like about the new 2020 Gm Hd's is they have trailer camera's (although hardwired) that work with their display. They also offer TPMS 4 pack for your trailer tires for like $50. No need for all the extra monitors.

      to Haloviews credit they simply sent it out and asked for a review in return. Never asked me to mention anything in particular or even not to post if it wasn't favorable. It seems like they're confident in their product. I'll give an update in a year or so!

  • @gakrazykajun
    @gakrazykajun 5 лет назад +1

    Howdy Cory, good installation video. I have the Furrion camera system and went through the same installation process that you did as well with one exception. On my 2016 2600RB the DC power for the camera is powered on when the battery disconnect switch is on. While this is good for most of the time when you boon dock it will be a little drain on the trailer battery. I removed the center marker light immediately above the camera mount and tapped the the positive lead for the marker light and brought it down to power the camera. So my camera is powered on when I have my truck headlights on. I ALWAYS tow with my headlights on so my camera is working while I am towing. When disconnected from my truck the camera system is not powered and is not a parasitic draw on the trailer battery. If you leave it powered by the battery disconnect switch you'd be able to monitor the camera while you are camping but you'd have to bring the display into the camper and power it up and leave it on.

    I had the same question as Gene Godwin did about sealing up the wiring hole. Do you think you could have left the Furrion housing in place and drilled 4 small holes in the faceplate for the Haloview camera bracket?

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  5 лет назад +2

      Ourlife Whirlwind it wouldn’t have worked that way. I looked for a way to mod the hood but there really wasn’t a good way to do it. Some have left the hood and mounted the camera just underneath but that requires drilling holes... I’m just not a fan of drilling unless I have no choice. Personal preference there.

      @@twoods3480 I know this is old, but I just installed mine today and had the same problem. What solved it for me is finding out that the pre-wired furion only gets power to the camera when you are plugged into the truck and the truck headlights are turned on. The camera gets power from the 3 red marker lights on the trailer which only turn on with the headlights, not daytime-running lights.
