Here's a link to limes talking about her shorts popping off and the one that first popped off ruclips.net/user/shortsvjSsDjuvgEU ruclips.net/user/shorts-a_nbAiQFic If you want an art vtuber that does scripted videos and shorts i recently found pikat youtube.com/@pikat
I have two words: Rin Penrose actually three Punkalopi - both blew up by having innovative shorts And other VTubers have done this as well. Some do the same thing talking about themselves and these don't get much traction. Punkalopi didn't pop off and I mean really pop off until she had posted for awhile on RUclips, Rin like her analytics and used them to very quicky get traction.
True! I definitely know more about these two purely off of shorts. Rin grinded hard in the beginning with so many uploads, that I pretty much see her daily on shorts. Then less because she is tuning down. Then recently she amp up the short grind again because "haha funny first mil VTuber in Brave then I leave" schtick, I subbed 😂
I would say it depends on your long term strategy. If you're planning on streaming or even possibly branching off into longer forms of content outside of shorts, the audience shorts attracts won't stand for content outside of shorts. Rin had mentioned that while the short view numbers were really good, it wasn't reflected properly in the stream audience turn out. Even when I made long form versions of the short content that were very successful, the audience didn't turn out. There's been plenty of other content creators who popped off on shorts that negatively impacted their long form content.
Something I've seen a lot of people do is a separate shorts channel to not mess with the algo on their main. Even with the low conversion rate I imagine it'd give a good starting boost to reach the follower amount for affiliate on twitch and a few viewers compared to streaming into the void
@@cheesesculptor There's a point to learning to stream into the void, when you get into CCV past 1k, it becomes similar to streaming into the void since there are far fewer 1 on 1 interactions and managing the crowd is near impossible. So it is a necessary experience to getting used to streaming into the void. Though, I do concede that the stickiness of the platforms does result in low conversion rate. Having said this, I also agree that it would get you to reach affiliate considerably faster than streaming into the void. Though, I would be concerned if they have the skills to interact with them as streaming is different from video creation.
oh yeah i didn't really think of that over 1000 viewers part but it'd still probably take weeks until someone shows up to a stream from a short and it's a tossup on if they'll chat or lurk so they'd still be speaking into the void for a while
Geega being the best advice giver out the is just the cherry on top why she’s one of my fav vtubers
