i havent watched the video yet but i wish people would have more empathy when it comes to people who REALLY love fictional media instead of dubbing them as weirdos, its super common for autistic/adhd individuals to feel a level of excitement and obsession of them that can be seen as strange to the average person.
Exactly, and honestly especially so for queer people who feel alone in life. Games like Genshin with their incredibly well-written queercoded characters help make a lot of us feel a little more seen. It's especially helpful for neurodivergent queer people, like me, who can find community and belonging in the fandom :)
"The writers of Mihoyo probably understood more than anyone under that time that everyone is going through a hard time." Nailed it. Credits to Shaoji for depressing stories. Now this has me thinking, have you played other hoyoverse games? Honkai 3rd? Star Rail? ZZZ?
@@Vortex_Zero No worries. Play whatever you enjoy. As for me, I enjoy all their games and the different kinds of gameplay. And I can see Impact 3rd hard to get used to. Personally, I don't care that much. I'm more interested in the lore.
@@dquade I have and I'm pretty excited for it, I'm somewhat aware of impact 3rds story and how it affects star rail and it'll be interesting to see for sure!
A vtuber character scratching the back of their neck is something I didn't know I needed 😄 Genshin is certainly one kind of a game, congrats on your pulling out of a quicksand ✊ With this workplace shifting and states moving, you're already a hero in the eyes of some people, including myself. Tnx for sharing, I'd say you're doing quite a decent job thru this life you're given P.S. Time is against us!
omg no girl i get it so hard whenever i was 13 i was going through a lot and my brother was bordering ab*sive behavior i started hyperfixating on childe, because he was so much better of a brother, and it brought me so much comfort and got me through so much.
I'm not sure what it was that I was missing, but Genshin gave me that. I made close friends over it, got into even more mythology and culture to decode its lore, and found endless amounts of queercoding when I was feeling the most alone as a queer person. I even started finding the energy to work towards my dreams through my interest in the game. Genshin isn't perfect, but it did something incredible for a lot of us, something that I think is going to last a long time.

I tried getting into impact 3rd but the gameplay didn't really speak to me, same for ZZZ, I've really enjoyed star rail so far though!

@@Vortex_Zero Hey. Genuinely curious. Have you heard about the Impact 3rd x Star Rail collab? Any thoughts about it?

@@Vortex_Zero I CANNOT wait for the collab! Things are about to get even more chaotic with Sparkle in the mix.
