It's annoying, yeah I agree.. But for me Unbreakable Bleed is far more worse, because the bleed damage will be proc when you're rolling coins, and it's more annoying by the fact that unbreakable coin from Bloodfiend in canto 7 could inflict tons of potency with addition to count as well-
I personally don’t like this fight because once you reach the point where you can realistically win all your clashes this fight just becomes a waiting game, like once I managed to get a stagger+ on the rose hunter simply just 6 Absolute resonance solemn lament it into oblivion (yes I know solemn lament is a big factor to my win but I’m pretty sure any other big damage ego or id could grant the same result) my point is that once you stagger him the fight is basically over

I don’t mind this fight. To me it’s a fight that you can rush down but it also punishes that rushdown mindset. It helps to have fast ID’s at least
