Only reason for this is Finland going to wreck serious and glamorous Abba's 40th anniversary party at Sweden with middle age man without pants screaming "SEE ME SLAY!!"
As a Swede, i'm soooo glad that they were sending us this ❤ This is the performance that brought us the most joy in ESC. There's no point in taking yourself too serious, Finland is raw models. 🇸🇪❤️🇫🇮

You got the song's message, too, not many got it the first listening. Awesome reaction, awesome choon! Big props
I LOOOOOOVE THIS!! I was there saw this live. The audience went totally crazy by this🔥🔥 As did I😄 I'm so so happy they won. I really appreciate the video angles they made to the performance as to hide he has no pants on. What ever juries will say about this, I'm so happy we are sending this. Will definitely bring lots of joy and happiness to Eurovisions ❤️
Was checking your channel, surprised to not find Irlands contribution to ESC this year. It's Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue. It's like a mix of Marilyn Manson and Lizs Minelli ❤
The guy grew up in the 90s / is a 90s kid. He is nostalgic about that era. The sound of the song is eurodance which was big in Finland (and Europe more general) in the 90s. Check out songs like E-Type - Life, Pandora - Don't You Know, Alexia - Summer Is Crazy, and Haddaway - What Is Love.
I know right.. "Baby don't hurt me..". I'm not sure about Win95man.. Maybe he needs a boot disk or something. Or tech support. Anyways. GOOD LUCK FINLAND!!!
So basically Windows95man is a dj, the denims are his trademark. Yes it's somewhat silly but its entertaining, without windows95man it would just be singing with not much of a show/performance, which is a pity, because eurovision is all about having fun and enjoying the perfomance and song. Yeah there are some singers in Finland's entry with more "serious" songs but if i'm being honest I liked this song better than them. the song captures the whole 90s vibe and it puts on a great show. Not everyone has to agree but I can tell this will be huge in Mälmö. You don't have to love the performance but the song itself is really catchy and good vocally. I feel like if paskana would go instead, it wouldn't do nearly well enough because then it'll sound just like any other pop song. (That's my opinion) Whereas this is a bit more unique, which stands out more
Käärijä didn't do submission this year, he only made a halftime act show with Erika Vikman. As for W95Man there's still some technicalities and the actual question whether W95Man can be arsed to join the Eurovision. If he doesn't want to go then the second place contender in UMK will get the rights to represent Finland. That'd be Sara Siipola with her song Paskana.
It's just been confirmed he WILL go to Eurovision, which is surely the most upstanding decision (after all he won), even though I was already secretly hoping for Sara, but oh well ;)
@@matleeena Well, the truth is actually weirder - that he was hesitating because of idiotic social media trolls who want us not to take part because Israel is participating... How utterly childish, words can't describe how ugly that kind of mob pressure towards any artist is!! I'm happy they didn't succeed, even if I would have loved Sara to go.
I love your reaction, you got it! It's having fun, being yourself 🎉 This song and performance always makes me laugh, I've seen a few of their interviews, and they're such sweethearts ❤😊 Imo ESC performances, or any art really shouldn't be so overproduced that there's barely any soul left in it. This seemed to be the theme in this year's UMK however, they threw everything but the kitchen sink at the live performances without actually having a clear vision of what works with the artist and the song, and it showed. This really was the best live performance of them! 🤩 As for the negativity W95man has faced online, I'm seeing a definite double standard, a goofy performance of a middle aged guy with a mullet and hairy legs is an abomination, but a guy with just as skimpy hotpants is ok for ESC as long as he's fit, polished, plucked, waxed and performing a "serious" song 😏
There's actually a lot of very "normal" pop music in Eurovision too, every year, though they tend not to be the ones that most stand out (but often do well anyway because of the juries, although boring, like the winner of last year, Sweden) ;)
There is a good list in Eurovision 2024 Wikipedia page of all the selected entries and there already is quite few of them. My favorites so far are Estonias 5miinust and Puuluup "(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi" and another good one is Gåte - "Ulveham" from Norway.
Past few years watching people react to Finland’s entries to Eurovision has been almost more fun than Eurovision itself 😂
This is so true

"can be arsed" is a weird way to put it. And if Sara Siipola is the next in line, she'll face the exact same dilemma.
