Windows95man is actually a DJ, who has performed in parties, birthdays, festivals and such. When Käärijä last year had his homecoming gig, Windows95man was the warm-up act. Windows95man has worked with that name for 10 years, already, and the very short denim shorts are his trademark. So this is an imaginary tale, how he was born from a denim egg, laid by a denim bird (here played by his vocalist, Henri, notice his jacket that looks a bit like the plumage of a bird). As a new-born he is naked, and doesn't know that he is supposed to wear trousers, so the cameramen and everybody on the stage do everything to block the view to his crotch. Finally, he gets his famous magic shorts, and the party starts. This has also references to the Finnish national epic Kalevala, where the whole world and the universe was born from an egg. The denim boots that Henri wears, are covered with denim that is woven like the traditional Finnish footwear "virsut", which originally were made of birch bark. Then there is of course the message of the lyrics, that could be summarised "be what you are, and don't think about what other people say". So as you see, they have actually put quite a lot of thought to this performance. As a side plot the producer comes to show him the rules, which he throws away, because "No Rules". They also made a music video, which has a quite different plot.
The other singer is Henri Piispanen Voice actorsinger-songwriterpresenter. Piispanen has voiced Finnish dubs of television shows and films such as Lewis in Meet the Robinsons, Hiro Hamada in Big Hero 6, Adrien Agreste in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Chase in PAW Patrol and Lloyd Garmadon in Ninjago.
This is just genius conceptual art by the Windows95Man Teemu Keisteri who is also an artist, disguised in and tributed to the 1990’s music. The denim egg refers to the Finnish paganism - the world was born out of an eagle’s egg. Henri is the eagle. Teemu, the Superhero-to-be Windows95Man, is born half-naked and without his shorts which later descend from heaven and make him the superman he will be. In the end, the eagle Henri and the superhero,the Windows95Man rejoice and dance together. Brilliant 😊! Thanks again for the great review, like with so many other videos!

Greetings from Finland! I voted for them. I also liked Sara Siipola, but this UMk-performance did it for me. I also 💚 the happy shamelessnes of it and the 90s beat makes it impossible for me not to move. BTW, Microsoft is fine with the logo (it is so old and not valid any more), but European Broadcasting Union doesn't allow logos, so this is the version of the video where the logos have been pixelated. Theemu now has a T-shirt and a cap with the logos pixelated. Microsoft actually published a picture of W95M with only the logo visible, and the rest of the image pixelated 😂. Also, there have been plenty of women in Eurovision with pretty revealing dresses, but no men in nude underpants yet though. It will be interesting to see what happens!
