So basically, mean boxer Hungarian woman posted an AI cartoon that described Khelif as a monster.
Then Khelif satisfyingly kicked her ass in the ring and won.
And now JK Rowling is whining.
Nice.
Only on the internet can someone saying "You should love yourself more and have more self confidence" be responded with "You're narcissistic and inconsiderate of MY feelings!"
These chatters all suffer from Woody Allen Syndrome.
Orson Welles: “I hate Woody Allen physically; I dislike that kind of man,” he said. Adding: “Oh yes, I can hardly bear to talk to him. He has the Chaplin disease. That particular combination of arrogance and timidity sets my teeth on edge.”
Jaglom countered Welles’ assertions, suggesting that Allen was a shy man and, therefore, surely couldn’t be labelled as arrogant. “He is arrogant,” Welles persisted in retort. “Like all people with timid personalities, his arrogance is unlimited. Anybody who speaks quietly and shrivels up in company is unbelievably arrogant. He acts shy, but he’s not. He’s scared. He hates himself, and he loves himself, a very tense situation. It’s people like me who have to carry on and pretend to be modest.”
I think it’s coming more from a place of feeling like they’re being talked down to. It is pretty infuriating when someone says your life is bad because you aren’t trying hard enough when you really are and the person telling you that comes from extreme privilege. Vaush is right in his sentiment but his delivery is shit and the fact that he’s doing a nonstop NorthernLion impression is also really fucking annoying and lame.
Tbf it is the most vaush thing imaginable to argue a perfectly reasonable point but in the stupidest possible framing.

Vaush's point about how important mental health, particularly the mental health of men being incredibly consequential to politics is dead on. 1:01:21 I was once sexually assaulted by someone who was like the type of person Vaush is describing and a big part of why that happened was because they made me feel bad for them with their self deprecation and mental illness. This rant made me feel really valid. Thank you Vaush 💜

I was joking, not making an argument. On good days I see what might be “wrong” with my brain, actually gives me a massive advantage over normal people. I can hyper-focus and learn stuff so fast.
For my degree, I’m a physics student, and I’m very good with people. I might be extremely mentally ill… but as long as I don’t essentialise… I’m aight.
These fucking streams where you go off about self-respect and mental health are so helpful man. Thank you
Yeah, I agree. I've realized, not only thanks to Vaush, but from sources elsewhere, that the way I'm being helpful and considerate is just selfish and manipulative. I'm both happy and scared that I've come to realize it. Happy, because I can do something about it. Scared because I have no clue how to fix it. But Vaush is right, don't worry too much, but if you do, don't make the worrying somebody else's burden!

Holy shit that Nazi guy is SO red.
Personally i think the argument on whether or not some people have been paid off or if they a re a grifter is a bit of a waste of time. They are still saying the things you disagree with, and you won't really be able to prove one way or the other if it is something they actually believe.
I think motive is always a pretty important thing to argue or discuss about, specifically when it comes to politics and those type of influences. IMO at least.
Even though there’s never a 100% sure fire way to find out (unless it’s stupidly written in stone) I do think it can be useful.
@@Black_Caucus Yes, but unless that stone tablet shows up, you will be spending far too much time speculating on unprovable motivations rather than on the completely provable thing that was said. Motivation matters in some since, but it often feels like it gets too much time and effort spent on it. when you could be debunking the claims or statements that are ACTUALLY being said. IMO concrete rhetoric matter far more than shadowy half conspiratorial source.
Vaush is so right on the thicc thing.
Most people are COWARDS when it comes to what they call “thicc”. They should just admit they like skinny people that show a bit of leg instead of lying to themselves and to those of us who actually like curves.
You know i have never really gotten the type thing. Unless a woman is like grotesquely obese or poorly aged into her sixties or wears glasses i usually still find them attractive in some way. Eh, maybe i am just some label or other i haven't looked up.
You know i have never really got the type thing. Unless somone is looking really unhealthy i haver not found a woman unattractive in their own way.... well i hate glasses, but that isn't really a type thing.
@@tiltedleft3306 I agree in the sense that I first and foremost think an attractive personality makes you attractive physically, for me personally.
However, I still have physical preferences, and those definitely skew curvy. I’d even say too skinny is a bigger turn off for me than too overweight (even if not a non-starter), except when it gets into morbidly obese territory.
And it’s funny you mention glasses, because I just consider those a cute plus lol. Preferences are funny like that.
@@CrossfacePanda Yeah i don't get my glasses thing, sun glasses don't bother me, but regular glasses that a person needs to see put me off. Even more confusing is that wasn't always the case for me.
I don't know, sometimes i will listen to people talk about their types and feel like it comes off as petty. Even the glasses thing while not ideal is still not really a true deterrent for me.

I'm so here for the anti-self hate stuff. Keep it up man
Sometimes i get annoyed by vaush constantly arguing with chat, but then I'm reminded why it's almost always warranted every single time.
I was in an awful mental state for a long time and lost a lot of friends because i was such a worthless self loathing asshole and for what? Everyone saw me for what i was, a void of emotional manipulation sucking the life and joy from everyone around me and it never made me any better. So you know what i did? I accepted that i was the problem, got some help, and put in the effort to work on myself, and now i feel fucking great about my life and who i am and what i do. All i had to do was get the fuck over myself and exercise some goddamn discipline.
It will never not be true that the only person holding you back from accomplishing anything is you. Go to therapy, log off, and touch some fucking grass.
"Is dumb acts smart" vibes are so real this stream...
Okay i'm taking this back.
Dr. K has talked about how being insecure and down on yourself is self centered. You gotta live in and interact more with the external world. Spend your time thinking in the external world and schedule specific times for self improvement. But don't go overboard.
Ah great another thing to feel insecure about, being too insecure.
Another good youtuber who talked about this is Theremin Trees, who made an amazing video talking about how to distinguish self love from narcissistic traits. I feel like a lot of the Chatters in that segment could do good watching that video.
All of that is easy when things are going well in your life. I agree with it, but it’s just so much easier said than done in the real world when it’s real issues. When the issues that lead to self-hate are superficial like losing some weight or tripping in front of people or spilling a drink and narcissism/self-obsession… that’s just an entirely different world from people with survivors guilt, or PTSD from watching a loved one pass, or PTSD from being tortured as a child, and then hating yourself. So much of Vaush’s advice leans towards people dealing with the former and not the latter on this specific issue because he himself had a stable childhood etc. Just my 2 cents as someone that worked with traumatized children caught up in the “Justice system” for years. Some of it is culture too, we haven’t exactly fostered a society that prioritizes community and acceptance. We have an extremely competitive and atomized culture, with really high economic expectations of everyone (have your own house, own a nice car, status and clout, and a socially respected career)… that leads to a lot of these problems.
@Gobbldeegoo1 Without going into details, I struggle with a lot of the issues you listed. I don't like the way Vaush talks about this topic, but his analysis is for somebody who hasn't had any training or personal experience, surprisingly close to correct.
@@zacharycompton5624yeah, like I said I agree with the premise he presents and a lot of what he is saying there, my only dispute is just that it only truly applies to a certain subset of the demographic of people dealing with self-hate/low self-esteem and he generalized a little too much on the issue. Sorry you experienced any of that, I know it never just goes away. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment.

As a mental health professional for 10 years at a community mental health setting Vaush is right.
this one was a bit of a nothingburger
I dont think all of Vaush's opinions about mental health are wrong, but his delivery makes it bad. He comes off egotistical and antagonistic at best, especially once he starts getting triggered by chat, and that hardly ever works to change the mind of a depressed person. In fact, it can easily make them more defensive.
The cat in your pfp is so cute I came to your profile to get a better look
He's factually right, but his delivery is off. However, I still feel like chatters should know what they're getting into at this point. Vaush has been here for years now, we know how he engages with discourse.
@@pancakes8670 I do agree that people should expect it at this point, especially if they're in his website chat. But it still annoys me because it's like he's treating a discussion about mental health like a debate, which is very counterproductive for many people.
he says he just wants his audience to be happier, but how productive is it to respond to peoples insecurity by arguing and ranting? i agree that feeling insecure is pretty dumb when you think about it and thats a point you can make to an insecure person in a way that is sympathetic, but he tends to sound aggravated and judgmental when he makes his points and i feel like that would make a lot of people not want to take your advice

Hey chat I know we don’t like genshin but can we not look at art that gets stolen for ai and then say it looks like ai
You could tell for a moment he’d walked himself into a corner by doing the “I’ve never felt bad about myself” bs when that chatter asked “then how could you possibly say their feelings are dumb and bad if you’ve never experienced the feelings”
Delusional comment. You're seeing things that aren't there, he clearly wasn't back into a corner. You don't have to literally live someone's life to be able to give them advice. That chatter was very clearly being the Narcissistic one by taking a simple comment like "love yourself more" as an attack on their character.
@@pancakes8670 he’s not your dad

I don't know what him never having had self-esteem issues has anything to do with it - I've struggled with malignantly low self-esteem since I was young and yeah, you shouldn't wallow in that stuff. Partisan politics start: 1:33:40
It's weird to me that when people say you made it political or "let's get to the politics" they obviously mean partisan politics, but Lefties will hit you with "everything is political". Like guys the partisan is implied. When you say, "everything is political" or "I am talking about politics" you're talking past the person in an effort to inflate your own ego.
Come now, it’s not like you can’t be a partisan for what has become the moderate position; the main usage of Partisan is literally just to describe politics in opposition to the assumed societal default for your country.
By pushing back and saying something like “everything is political”, people aren’t being arrogant, but rather pushing back against a narrative of unquestioningly accepting the establishment worldview.
Vaush rebuffing both the arrogant chatters who think they get to dictate his stream and the idea that politics is partisan with a short, snide and technically true statement is honestly perfect, they deserve harsher words imo
@@QuickNETTech We're all entitled to our own opinions. It's my opinion that the saying "everything is political" needs to be used much less as a retort and that chatters need to stop trying to control his stream. Obviously Vaush is correct in the way he handles his audience.
@@threadbearr8866 no one said you couldn't have your own, I merely gave mine; people generally, and leftists especially, need to decouple their understanding of the term politics from partisan (electoral) politics. The default understanding of politics as being a thing that begins and ends with electoralism is a handicap to the left.
😂 at vaush describing Alhaitham design lmao honestly zenless zone is a better game with character designs vs genshin from the same company, honaki as well but i havent played that game yet so cant say for sure but zenless definitely
Yeah I like ZZZ's character designs more honestly. With Genshin, every character has to fit a specific set of character models so they all look samey. But ZZZ is weird for lightening Nekomata's skin in the comic cutscenes so much. And all the company's games have the problem of skin tone ranging from white, white, white, and light tan if they feel like adding some variety
As a genshin impact player, his remarks were funny. to each their own. I think the character designs were appealing. As for the Chat, wondering why Genshin is still here. The sad reality is that game is fun.
