Ya that's right. Seems like people have fun letting their kids run around in there. I've only made it to the North Side a couple times the last 20 years but perhaps again some day... Cubs have won 8 out of 9! The NL Central is wacky right now
LOVED Don Kessinger when he played for the Cubs. He probably hit as many inside-the-park homers as over-the-fence homers in his day. Good stick, no power. And a terrific shortstop. Cheers....
Agreed, but they did seem to be in order for when they occurred, which could help in researching in finding those dates if that is what you really want.
@@10Peter25 true. I should have said in my lifetime. The great Banks was playing first base by the time that I came around. Thanks for setting me straight.
Here I am just relaxing and enjoying these Cubs highlights and bam @ the 6:17 mark I'm jolted out of my chair by the ridiculous sounding commentator... who the heck was that and why did they need to increase the volume for her so much?
There's something goofy about almost every inside-the-park home run. Weird carom off the wall... Collision of two outfielders... Failed attempt at a diving catch... Fly ball lost in the sun... etc.
Its crazy how Wrigley generally looks completely the same. What a cathedral of baseball!
I hear on you the cathedral part, but they've changed many things. Bullpens, giant video boards, signage, etc.
@@hoosierflatty6435and also the exterior with the bug green space and video board outside

Was so nice to hear a bit of Santo with Pat Hughes for one of them. Those were some great broadcasts to listen to. Miss you Ron.
The Pat and Ron Show was appointment radio.
I was at the game for Suzukis and omg it was awesome
I wish they would have included the dates on each.

They missed the inside-the-park home run by Ron Cey in 1985. Never saw those short legs of his move so fast.
0:30 I believe this was the night we clinched a tie for the 1989 Division Title.
Bro ran into the wall and just laid there on the first one
Not just anyone, that's Hall of Famer Willie Stargell no less. No one backing him up either. The game was a bit different back then.
@@incredulousdisbelief9841 yeah lol it’s just different playing in the game today and then seeing stuff like that
Sosa and Javy with incredible slides
Kessinger was not only the best Cub shortstop ever, he is a great person. Loved how he played the game!
Calling Kessinger the best Cub shortstop ever is quite the hyperbole considering that Ernie Banks played about half his career at shortstop.

Let's Go Cubs
Go Cubs!
can't wait for PCA to join this list, it's inevitable
Soto's homer was actually a outside the park, it was actually on the homer side of the yellow line.
Soto was a legit homerun
As I remember… Soto ran like a TOWTRUCK but I loved watching him play. He definitely had some hidden bat power.
It's a shame Tony Campana couldn't hit the ball any better, because that dude could FLY
We can add one more to the list!!
Campana's only MLB home run!
I think Sammy was out on that first one. Still a great play though.
lmao Campana had ridiculous speed
Yeah he did
Score more than them!
Tony Campana was a deer on the bases, he played in the Mexican League.
Hell yeah, that kid could fly. It's a shame he didn't last in the big leagues. He could've stole 60 bases a year easy.
Geovany Soto of all people got an inside-the-park homer
Now you got to add Pete Crow Armstrong he hit an inside the park last night!!!!!
I remember watching the Dawson one as a kid, and I thought the only way to hit an inside the parker was for the other guy to get hurt.
It looked like he caught it. I'm confused on that one.
Pat is the man.
Campana was a cheetah
Looks like the second one should have been an out 🤷♂️
Miss the day's Harry ,Cuba Fan Win / Lose,
2:48 Wasn't that a natural homerun??
looks like it hit on the yellow line, which is in play

None of these involved errors. 😒
Sammy was out lol
No replay in those days.
Looked like the side of his hand slid across the plate before Kendall tagged him
