Great video guys. The car deserved a track appraisal really. Five point harnesses are a no-no for usability, you strap in and then remember you can’t shut the door 😄
Happy New Year gentlemen ! Donald l forgot to compliment you on your magnificent moustache ! And you just know Jay is going to get his check book out .......at any cost ! Thankyou Gentlemen ! I really don't do Mercedes but l'll make an exception in this case ! And your reference to how car performance has changed hit the nail on the head . 'ANYONE" can climb into any modern car and get supercar performance with absolutely no proper driving skills. And if they lose control there are so many safety features it's unlikely they will suffer life changing injuries. However who , or what they hit may not be so lucky . Food for thought !
Just bought a low mileage Clk Black, will receive it in a couple of weeks, think the Black looks better than the DTM though, couldn't afford a DTM anyway, but both are great cars
I am a Cadillac ATS owner with a hot rodding going on. I must say that today's luxury cars are also producing proper muscle cars. Lightweight with big power, simple formula.
They lost me quite a while ago when they gave all of the cars the same shape and painted them to kind of look like the street version. And the commercials! Don't even get me started on the number of them or the mentality (perhaps lack of mentality) of them.
some might want a 1000 hp car that can go 300 mph and cost $500,000 I want a car that costs $5000 and can go 300,000 mile care free. love my 5 speed Escort with the 373 ,000 on the clock ,average MPG is 38 and a set of new tires is under $300 bucks. plus bought it used 10 years ago for $1100.
I've always preferred the Black. The DTM has always looked a bit aftermarket / Tuner to me. The side vents look stuck on rather than integrated. Thank you for the video..
As the CLK Black is an all day car as Jay said, or daily driver even, this car like many super or hyper cars could be referred to as half day cars. Although many youngsters might not mind driving it all day every day, I myself could never spend more than half a day in it, like Jay said 20 minutes at a time, most likely 40 tops. A very quick 20 - 40 minutes though lol
I own a Mercedes-Benz C Class & drove the CLK AMG on a pro race track, so I'm familiar with the M-B C type; hence, I can tell if someone buys that car & doesn't get pro driving instruction he's going to put it into a wall.
When this car was released in 2003, the DTM (by then rechristened as DTM = "Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters") was already way past its prime. Spiritually, historically and technically, I'd argue that the 190e homologation specials (all four-door sedans) are *much* more connected to this exciting racing series than the car in this clip.
Love the show. Jay, please please please do something about those hairs in your nose. LOL I'm serious. they are a distraction. Donald, do something with him!
I would love to drive a DTM sometime. I have a CLK 550 that's a lot of fun to drive as it is. Great video!!
Love Osborne cutting Jay off to tell him his turn to drive lol

Nice that Mr. Leno is such an avid supporter of the museum.
He and Donald are perfect product placement. LOL
Thank you for watching!
Glad I was able to see the current exhibit I’ll be back again!!!
Thank you very much for stopping by!
Mr. Osborne didn't waste any time to rev that motor up -- gosh, that car sounds great!
I was at the museum yesterday. This car is beautiful. Unfortunately it sat next to the GTR. That car is astonishing!!!
Gentlemen that was so much fun, monster car...Happy New Year!
Now your driving! Absolutely gorgeous!. Two lucky bums.
Love my Mercedes Benz SL

If I only had one car. It would be a Mercedes.

these guys are the best!
The one with the M120 would have been interesting too
Very interesting indeed!
Slower, heavier and not sounding as immense
If NASCAR would get to a DTM like formula they wouldn’t be losing fans.
They lost me quite a while ago when they gave all of the cars the same shape and painted them to kind of look like the street version. And the commercials! Don't even get me started on the number of them or the mentality (perhaps lack of mentality) of them.
Another beauty
Insane power! Great video. You will run out of road real quick in this one. I agree, it does not appear to be an all-day driver. Just one opinion!

I have to say it looks better without the usual wing, a touch of understatement to compensate all the other obvious visual additions..
I've always preferred the Black.

leno's mimics of the engine sounds 😅
I had a Tuned Biturbo C207 Benz. Probably the closest i will get to driving a CLK Black...

I have a CLK 350 and use it as my daily driver and my road trip vehicle. It's perfect for it all.

It sill would give ANY Nascar a run for its money. And on a road race, forget about it
What's better than V8? Supercharged V8. Serious machine track ready, that's one of the cars that Jay likes, you can drive to track and back.
Not familiar with this model Mercedes. But fabulous vehicle.👍😎🤑
Where is Donald, I lost him in the forward views!
Drive by wire?

Spring for a manicure and some kleenex.
