It's a shame that you don't get the opportunity to explore the Island as Arthur or John . If during the Guarma chapter, you stray outside the area they want you in, the law shows up like they do when you try to sneak into Blackwater in the early chapters . Would have been nice to have a way to travel back and do some free roaming .
just fast travel, you cant save there either, so go Guarma with a time and do the things in there what you want in single session. IF you save and exit the game, it will still spawn you at the normal map somewhere. There is also other way to get guarma, near Thiefs Landing and I guess its little bit faster than this route, but im not sure. I did not have horse there and I think I got Guarma faster. Still, cool video tho!
Don't forget to study the turtle and check out the sharks (as well as the other creatures you're supposed to find).
lol a real raven flying over my head echoing the one in game was pretty dope
Guarma have a good potential but most of the island is empty almost everything is in aguadulces except for El nido and Cinco Torres

Chapter 5 "Guarma" is literally the WORST part of RDR2. So unbelievablely underdeveloped
And how do you get back?
I was thinking the same thing

U can't fast travel without your main horse and saddle
So when you go there, you cant go back. Youre stuck there forever. You wont be able to travel back
