I miss your planner videos and your inspiring optimism but if you need time for other projects I'm glad you're prioritizing what is important for you. I hope 2019 was full of joy for you and your family, and that 2020 brings you contentment and fulfillment.
Aww, thank you so much for the lovely message! I really appreciate it. I miss making planner videos and am very much hoping to be able to get back to filming new ones soon!!
Hi! Nice to see you again. I tried an A6 as my main personal planner this year, and it became too exhausting to keep up. Draw the layout! Add the weather! Quote of the day! Color code the timeline! Note the day's top tasks! I ended up mostly backfilling until I gave myself permission to just stop. The reason I mention this is to pass along information about what I replaced it with. Nanami Paper makes an A6 notebook that is exactly the same size as the original Techo. It's full of 480 pages Tomoe River paper, just like the Techo, and said paper is printed with a 3.7 mm grid, just like the Techo, in an unobtrusive light grey. It is also half the price of the A6 full year Techo. I'm using mine as a proper bullet journal, but I think it is a perfect catch-all notebook for anyone who likes the size, wants to be free of the daily-page-pressure, and has some lovely A6 covers that they'd rather not have languishing on the shelf.
woohoo :) so nice to have you back!!! you and Humblechan are my RUclips "peace and light"... both your channels are a ray of sunshine and you are both deeply missed when you are away. so glad you are feeling a bit better! best wishes for better days ahead :) xo
Welcome back! And no need to apologize. I love how you have refined how you use each section of your work Cousin over the years and the idea of using the Weeks as a morning journal and the A6 as an evening journal. Thank you for the inspiration!
Hi! My favorite that you do and I've tried to incorporate into my journaling is your "stickering" personal planner. I love that. I think I'm going to start small and use the Hobinichi A6 Weekly additional planner. Even if it bulks up, it won't bee too big.
I started using the Cousin this year and love it! I wish it came in a B6 size though. I use my daily pages to journal and draw my daily doodle challenge. I use my weekly pages for to dos and appointments.
(long / trigger warning for run-on sentences) I'm so sorry to hear you were not well! The other day, I was thinking it had been a while, I just figured you were a little bit busy. But the flu is no fun at all. I'm so glad you're doing better and came back to share with us. Although I started using computers and the internet very early, and was online by 1994, I was probably your age at that time, and paper planners were pretty much Franklin Covey and a couple of other brands. I don't think it was even politically correct to admit in public that you actually LIKED it, however. It was purely a utilitarian concept. People had planners so that they could keep track of things. Although I love technology, every time I have tried to give up paper planning and do it all online, I have gone back. Something always brings me round to the squid-on-papyrus method of recording things. And I rarely type and mostly use either voice recognition or handwriting recognition, so one would think I could switch to fully electronic with those supports, but no. I don't fully understand why not. After all, a stylus is so similar to a pen or pencil. I like using it, but it's no substitute. Maybe it's an emotional connection that I just can't get from a phone or tablet or website. I don't know. I do know that the A5 hobonichi reminds me of a machberet from when I used to go to day school, but I'm not sure what they call it in England. I don't know how to spell that in English and I don't have one of those Hebrew keyboards, but it was my first childhood notebook, and maybe that's an example of feeling an emotional connection to paper planning and note-taking. Maybe I just like the permanence of it. My planner is always my planner, it doesn't morph into something else when I need to check another program. Sorry to use up your video comments section by mulling over the reasons for my love of paper, and thank you for all that you do. Your videos are sooooooooooo wonderful. Back in the day, I just never imagined that there were others who loved paper planning. I'm not the only one! I hope you're having a great holiday, thank you for reading through this, and please take care!
Aww, thanks! That's so sweet, I really appreciate it. Things are ok but I've just been struggling with managing work and fatigue, and haven't been able to make a video in ages! I really want to make one soon though and definitely would like to show my 2020 order!!
Just thought I’d ask how are things....so glad you gave a bit of an update in the comments a few mths ago...you know IG stories would be an easy way to post some quick updates about your planning journey🥰...no editing etc like there is w YT...but if you need to step back totally understandable...just know that there are lots if us here and on IG who miss your videos and content👍🏻
Aww, thanks so much!! That means a lot to me. Things are ok but I've been really worn out and have been finding it too hard to make videos, though I miss it! I'm hoping to have some time and energy in the winter break. I appreciate the kind words and support so much! 😘
Aww, thank you so much- I'm really touched, and appreciate the support! I've been struggling with work and finding it hard to get back into making videos, but I really want to! I'm hoping to make a video when the complete Hobo 2020 lineup is releases at the end of the week.
Maybe you can rescue your morning journal with some purpose. Like ignore the dates and just make grocery lists or wish lists for things. Turn it into a regular notebook so to speak. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, you choose a wonderful cover for it.
I like the idea of your problem-child-A6 becoming an undated “planner journal” - more stickers, shop notes, wish lists, RUclips ideas, Insta accounts to follow ... Always happy to see a video from you 😊
How about a Body Mind Spirit journal as a solution for your planner. It can be just for you and about you.Kind oa a self care journal. You could track what you do to make you happy and zen, such as reading, going for walks, a facial, massage whatever you love.It is an crucial part of being, how can we give to others if we don't give to ourselves....
Aww, thank you so much! I really appreciate that. As it happens, I finally made a 2020 line-up video today! I'm away from home and it's taking ages to upload, but it should be up by tomorrow! 😘
@@pamc5107 Aww, thanks! The internet is awful where I am so I haven't been able to upload it, but I'll be home tomorrow and it will definitely be going up then!
Aww, thanks so much! I'm really touched. I've been struggling with work and life (I have fibromyalgia) and haven't been able to manage making a video in far too long! I really want to make some videos again, so the encouragement and kind wishes are a big help! I'll try to be back as soon as I can! 😘
Vegan Organizer I’m looking foreword to your future videos when you’re able, but your current videos have a timelessness to them. I still watch them for ideas.
Hi! Just checking to see if there has been any activity on your YT channel. Really missing your content...hope everything is ok...miss hearing your thoughts on the new hobo releases! Any chance you will become active in the planner community again? Either here or on IG?
So glad you're back! Question. Have you ever had problems with your hobos falling apart? Other than now your a5 five year of course. But any others? My mega weeks seems to be coming unglued in places and I'm worried the whole book will just fall apart. I have washi and stickers in the months and very little in the weeks more on holiday weeks. Thank you and I hope you are on the mend. Sorry for the health problems.
Oh no! I've never had a problem with any of my Hobos, but a friend did have a problem with the binding in an English A6 coming undone for no reason, she wasn't using stickers even. I'm really sorry you're having that happen! Hope it doesn't get worse.
@@VeganOrganizer thank you. It's not too bad yet. I'm just paranoid. Lol I'm sorry about your friend's planner. That's no good. I'm glad yours has kept up nicely. I love your videos. Keep up the good work!

lachimiste1 I love to do arty pages, but when you have to produce as the days roll by, the fun goes out of it. But, then, I’m not very disciplined
