You would have been even more confused if you lived here in Tennessee and followed this case from the get go and all these years later. Such a heartbreaking case ... she deserved so much better!
@@perryrush6563 Hey Perry! Thanks for commenting. It is nice to get the perspective of another Tennessean who knew of this case. I was low key obsessed with this case the entire time, and this video just rekindled my interest in it again. I went back and watched several other videos. There are some interesting subreddits dedicated to Holly's case, if you want to delve into that rabbit hole. I'm really bad to comment while watching a video, as I did with this one, so I had not gotten to Clint's interview portion. I had forgotten how detached and unemotional he was when discussing that day. I remembered how I was really suspicious of him based on his behavior and the fact that he literally could have saved his sister, and yet he did nothing. I don't remember ever hearing that anyone had come to the house to teach him how to cook meth. I think I've forgotten lots of details in this case. There are still soooo many unanswered questions, and things we will never know. Again, I really appreciate your comment as a fellow Tennessean! Take care and stay safe.
He calls her cell phone when he sees her arguing with a stranger and being led towards the woods?? Wtf. Why did everyone keep calling each other instead of 911?
The family strikes me as the people who own a 'we don't call 911' plaque with a pair of crossed rifles underneath. Though, if the dirty cop/drug ring connection is true, there are reasons more than most others who own the same.
@Fic9 I know it's really strange. Even if they thought it was her bf I would've questioned the mother saying to shoot and why the hell they were walking off into the woods! Sometimes it pays to be nosey, you could save an innocent person! That poor young girl.
@chris kibodeaux There is a process but if there clear evidence of an abduction/murder they’re gonna look right away. I believe they did this in the case where the dude showed a truck to two guys at 9pm and never came back (I’ll edit once I find the name). Either way there’s some shady shit going on here.
The mom also knew more than she is saying. Why the hell is a youtube comment section asking more valid questions than a judge or anyone in a court of law?
Including herself. Why did she even go outside to meet this man? Why did she crouch down with him to talk with him? Why did she scream but then not try to get away. Why didn't she scream for help again? There's a lot in this case that makes no sense. And why the hell didn't her brother do anything to help her? That's what really gets me.
@Bri Grant I never blamed her for her own murder, I questioned her choices. And you got real rude and disgusting towards the end of your comment so I guess you're a hypocrite and part of the problem in this world like you said so nicely to me.
@@dustin628 apperantly you know nothing about how people that are scared for their lives act. The brother ...that seems weird to me too at least he could have walked behind them to see where theyre were going. But Hollys actions are completly understandable
i think the mother lied . she said shoot ,kill him Like she knew who it was . even if she knew that wasn't her boyfriend an adult wouldn't say that if she didn't know who it was .but she never told .
Another thing that is extremely suspicious to me is the fact that Clint didn't hear Holly screaming because he was asleep but he heard the dogs barking. All of this seems extremely suspicious.
Maybe because that’s how this video is designed. After reading dozens of hateful comments about her family, blaming her brother or mom, I did some actual research. You could spend 10 minutes and find this video to be very misleading and leaves out a ton of details which led to them being found as guilty. Go read Jason Autry’s testimony and see how you feel then. Go look at the evidence that wasn’t provided in this video.
it could happen actually. Especially if you are a heavy sleeper. And normally a scream lasts only couple of seconds (real quick) but dog barks could last longer and it’s repetitive so it’s more effective to wake heavy sleeper up. And as a heavy sleeper I could totally imagine the situation as something similar often happens with me :)

@@lullubelljingles9567 I've looked into claims like that and have found flaws every single time. Usually one of these things happens: 1. Out of the hundreds of guesses, a few are bound to be fairly accurate. Being "near water" in a town with water isn't a far reach, for example. 2. The psychic will avoid sharing their hundreds of inaccuracies while highlighting the 3 they got right. 3. They will often make guesses according to the public facts of the case, just like we would do. 4. The "accurate" guesses are often exaggerated as if they "nailed it". Etc., etc., etc.
It doesn't appear (from what Clint was saying) that Holly was being held at gunpoint when he saw her so she could have either run back indoors or shouted for Clint. She also entered into dialogue with the stranger which (to me) indicates it's not a simple case of abduction by someone she didn't know.
I lived a few miles from the Bobo home. I always remember this event for the tragedy it was. I was among the first group of volunteers that were gathered to search for her. They literally waited until 6pm that night to send us looking for clues. So much time passed. Such a sad story
A convenient amount of time while people bickered about jurisdiction...at least that's what's normally the case when you've got a crime scene in rural counties. Her 911 phone call getting to the wrong precinct probably set off a whole ball of BS posturing. Regardless, this is the worst case of police investigation I think I've ever heard. Nearly intentional neglect, I'd be suing the department, but she threatened to actually 'take their job' away from them and suddenly we have the three stooges as 'perfect' circumstantial pawns. But, you who were there in the most helpful light are very right. Holly was lost and these were just exceptionally sad circumstances.
@@jordanthompson1418 Your sentiment is felt by many in the area. Adam’s was thought by many to be responsible for the crime locally within months of the crime. However, after the trial, more questions than answers remain. Jason was the whole prosecutions case, and he has zero credibility.

I watched this on True Crime Recaps and was appalled and got chills when the mom said that’s not her BF shoot him. What in the actual world is going on that that was mom’s first reaction. And as soon as I heard the neighbor heard screams but didn’t call police then Holly was seen kneeling with him in the garage. Yet nobody, including her brother who was in the house helped her. Makes me so mad. RIP Holly 🕊 💫.
Because sis in the country there is an old rule you don't go on to other people's property. 8/10 you will get shot . Only people up to no good creep up on your property without permission. We are talking hills and trees every where, it's not like an urban setting where everything is all flat and streets/people everywhere.
I lived in Tennessee for a bit and I still live in the south, but in another state. During hunting season, about half the population of my county is dressed in camouflage (including the women). Firearms outnumber humans by 20-to-1 and nearly everyone has a hunting knife. Meth is a huge problem here. HUGE. It makes longtime users do psycho things. Lastly, the cops here aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed. I wouldn’t ask for their help finding my lost goldfish in his fishbowl because I know they’d screw it up. These are all very random thoughts that I felt compelled to contribute for those who aren’t familiar with the south.
I’m from Virginia, the west side of the state, right by the border of Kentucky. It’s the same there. Everyone owns a ton of camouflage. They also dress their animals & babies in camo. Guns outnumbered people by a lot & drugs & illegal activities are a huge problem there too.
I’ve seen plenty of camouflage, and I live in the US Southwest. Pink camouflage (yes, it’s a real thing) is worn by a ton of women. Let alone traditional camo. Guns aren’t the least bit unusual in the US. This is the west. We like guns, as a country. It how we “won the west”. Wild animals take livestock, hunting game, it’s a culture. I grew up in a school that had plenty of gun racks in back windows of trucks. Granted that’s a long time ago. Meth is a whole other thing. It makes fools out of nice people and is well documented as destroying communities. But yeah, none of these things are unusual in this geographical area. Not everyone involved in those three things kills people either. ✌️
Doesn't seem like that's what happened here at least, to me anyway. This seems more like one of those cases where the police get a lot of people to corroborate a story that didn't happen. A lot of them do so with the impression that the people are guilty anyway so it doesn't matter if they stretch the truth, but everyone assumes everyone else is being honest. One recurring theme in some videos that's been annoying me is that police and prosecutors ignore actual evidence (like phone location and alibis) in favor of notoriously unreliable witness testimony.
For me the fact that someone was convicted of murder only on the “proof” that they’re the right height and weight despite numerous alibis and contradictory evidence is scary.
This whole thing seems so odd. The brother's account is strange, the men who were charged seem off... it's like the whole thing is missing some pieces.
Brothers involved somehow. Either facilitated the kidnapping for whatever reason (might have owed a debt to someone) or did it himself. No one is that slow to act when their loved one is in danger - no one. People find an inner bravery that surprises even themselves when they or their families are under threat. Clints behaviour is weird in the extreme.
Well the scream could've taken him out of REM stage sleep and the dogs barking finished the job of waking him up. There's plenty of times my husband and son wouldn't have woken up right away depending on their level of sleep deprivation and how physical they were that day. It's 100% believable.
@@robinmcinarnay7827 It is 100% UNbelievable. Nobody's talking about how slow he was to wake up, Robin. It's crazy and ridiculous how Clint did absolutely nothing to help AFTER waking up, having his own mother tell him to shoot the dude, and watched some rando take his sister into the woods.
He did twist the family details a bit to make it seem extremely odd. Law Enforcement dropping the ball is common, not a big surprise. The testimony provided by Autry was extremely convincing to say the least. He had information only someone involved could have known and gave a very descriptive scene of the murder that only someone there would have picked up on. How poorly law enforcement handled this from the start is awful, but the ones guilty were caught.
The problem is so many cases are overturned or found to be a complete lie that there's no way to be sure enough to keep someone forever on that charge. So many lies.
“That stranger is taking my sister to the woods but thats ok because I think it might be her boyfriend all though I won’t talk to them to be sure, I’ll just let him take her away” no talking, no shooting, no calling 911, very suspicious.

I would bet my savings on that being the real story. I thought it was interesting that Holly was suspected as an informant for the cops and while that may not be true, she most definitely knew about some illegal operations and was seen as a threat. I don't believe for a second her brother didn't wake to her screams if the neighbours could hear her. The brother was most definitely in on what was most likely a meth op. Garbage.

Her mom KNEW that it wasn’t Drew who was ushering Holly into the woods because Drew had called her minutes before and asked permission to hunt on her parents land. She knew he was there because one of her family members was there when he called. That’s why she told Clint to shoot whomever it was. She also knew at that time about the screaming that was heard. Those facts combined with her intuition is what caused her to tell Clint to shoot whomever it was. I can see why Clint didn’t shoot anyone. He didn’t have enough information as to why his mom knew it wasn’t Drew. What I don’t understand is why he didn’t grab a gun and go after the man with his sister. He said he was awoken and wasn’t fully awake when this happened. Jason Autry’s testimony had a lot of information that was corroborated by facts in the case too. After watching the trial I’m not convinced that Zach isn’t guilty. There is a lot more information in the trial that is compelling and was not mentioned in this video.

@Kurtis Mills - how did she know it wasn't Holly's boyfriend, maybe mom was with the boyfriend doing him, that is the only way she could know it wasn't him.
She knew the boyfriend was hunting on her mother’s property that morning, so she realized it wasn’t him. So many speculations. Also, the brother was sound asleep, not on the ball. Man leave this family alone!

T Bot I’d like an explanation of how the family was worse .. the small town cops were inexperienced for sure but I’m not sure the family could have done things differently
I’m from Decatur County and was in HS when this happened. I remember students left the school to help look for her. I also remember some people wondering if the brother did it right when it happened. We thought it was weird that he didn’t go out to see her before they went into the woods (all of this being said right when we found out she was missing).
I swear the fact they didn’t question the mom and brother kinda angers me. Like the mom knew without seeing the guy that it wasn’t the boyfriend, the brother didn’t even try to help nor was he even awaken by the screams but instead the dogs barking. Things don’t make sense and it’s obvious that they knew more than they were letting on. The fact that law enforcement kinda just looked over the inconsistencies are beyond me.
Her mother had just spoken to the boyfriend who was asking for permission to hunt on the land, so she knew it couldn’t be him on the property. That’s fact. The brother I don’t know but I’ve heard he was coming down from a meth binge.
This actually happened in my area. She was a model for a local beauty salon I believe. This case took a toll on our area. Green bows were tied on lampposts for years in commemoration of her. My friends mother was actually friends with Holly. And yes, this case is really weird
@Ann-Marie Paliukenas That's exactly what was alleged to happen by the defendants but it wasn't credible. Also, they never found any meth lab setups or evidence of any drugs in anyone's home.
Those 3 men weren't involved. They weren't even there and none of them match the description of who Clint saw. I hope they're freed one day. The informant thing seems like a stretch BUT the cops didn't start looking for Holly for hours. So why were they dragging their feet?
Those guys were not Saints, but I do not think they killed her. This felt closer to home. Like the killer was no stranger to her. They knew each other. I get the feeling it did not go down like Clint said it did.
But Clint is lying. He didn't want to admit his friends abducted him because his little meth manufacturing operation would get busted. He just gave a description to go along with the lie that he mistook the guy for Drew, the BF.
They sent someone to prison FOR LIFE with absolutely no actual evidence?? And they convicted him of rape despite not even knowing if a rape ever occurred?? Our justice system is so fucked.
Reminds me a little of the West Memphis Three case with the one with diminished capacity being coerced into a confession and indicating others were involved. It's just too bad all of them couldn't have used the Alford(sp?) Plea like the WM3 did. Which was still unfortunate because the real killer still gets away with murder because the prosecution and LE looks at it as solved and won't go after the truly guilty parties.
these sort of convictions will not stop or change until prosecutors and cops no longer get immunity, absolutely disgusting how many times this shit happens in america
I was thinking this as well. It seems like a lot of cases of murder in the last 10 or 20 years no longer follow the"beyond reasonable doubt" rule. Something has definitely changed
The only thing that I feel like I know in this case is that the guys convicted aren't the killers. This whole situation is so weird though. From the family to the police to the people in this town. I need answers on this one.
Right? I kept waiting for the smoking gun and we didn't even get any circumstantial evidence. Wait, what? A jury convicted them on that? How? Even if the cops were corrupt and covering something up, the jury had to be corrupt too then.

Mike, another great video! Bringing light to these sick criminals and murky or often unsolved cases has to help by keeping them alive in the public eye so the families of the victims can get justice and hopefully some solace and peace. Maybe one day we as a people will finally get so tough on these crimes & criminals that they will stop and think of the consequences first. Wishful thinking I know. Keep up the great work and you’ll hit a million in no time!! I would love to see you do a video on the unsolved “Wonderland Murders”. It’s got it all - money, drugs, porn, ultra-violence. The movie Boogie Nights was loosely based on this case.
The video doesn’t go in-depth on that, it focuses on what could be confusing and leaves out any explanation. It leaves out Jason Autry’s testimony, which was the most persuasive part of the entire prosecution. He definitely made this to show some unknown factors to make you think “what if”. Not only draws you into watching, but it also increases comments discussing what they think happened. It’s quite smart, but very misleading.
If someone had one of my kids with them and someone called me saying “your kids with someone and I heard a scream” I’d also tell that person to do whatever they had to to make sure my child was safe and keep them that way until I could get there. As a mother (most of us) will do and say whatever it takes to protect our baby, no matter their age.

Kind of a weird reaction but I guess that’s her daughter so maybe she was just being in super protective mom mode I have no idea
The mom also knew more than she is saying. Why the hell is a youtube comment section asking more valid questions than a judge or anyone in a court of law?
Every single person has failed this young woman. The family, the police, the neighbors, every single person in and around this case failed her.

@@WarrenPuffet I'll do just that then come back here and maybe we can have a .discussion. Thanks
it could happen actually. Especially if you are a heavy sleeper. 1.

Add to all that the bad police work. Poor Holly.
Meth, camouflaged women and firearms. What a place.
AWESOME
dude I live in Mississippi and its exactly the same here....
The scariest part of many of these cases is that 'friends' willingly agree to help a murderer dispose of their victims.
I was thinking the same. How many cases does a friend show up and decide to destroy/hide body...
For me the fact that someone was convicted of murder only on the “proof” that they’re the right height and weight despite numerous alibis and contradictory evidence is scary.

I definitely think there's more to this story. I think there's more to the brother and I think there's more to the mom. So tragic.
What do you think is going on? How might they have been involved?
@@spikeitfool1 I'm not exactly saying they're involved, but they do raise my red flags from their body language and going off of the info given by this video. For example, why didn't her brother go outside and at least see what's going on?..something about that whole situation does NOT make sense to me, I definitely think he could've done more.
And the mom, for starters her saying to her son "grab a gun and shoot that person in our backyard" ..apparently those were the first words out of her mouth in that phone call...that doesn't exaxtly make sense either going off of the info given by this video at least.
To me they both seem shady and not 100% honest, in other words I don't think they've said EVERYTHING that they know. Bear in mind my opinion might change if I could see ALL of the evidence in this case.
@* * I'll repeat "going off of the info given by this video" AND "bear in mind my opinion might change if I could see ALL of the evidence in this case". @@spikeitfool1 I think because the mom said, if there was a man talking to Holly that wasn't her boyfriend, the son should shoot him immediately. So she knew or suspected that Holly was in danger for some reason or that someone was after her.
Maybe she just had a gut feeling but.. you know.. You don't tell your son to shoot someone standing in the yard doing nothing suspicious (it could be a friend?) just because of a feeling.
I think she knew something
There is, a lot more, I was locked up with zach, for two years, my cell was right next to him, i knew him very well. Trust me when i say, the only reason he took a plea deal, was he was facing the death sentence.

@Brandon Lester I always have some form of weapon on me. I'll use my hands first before a weapon, with all the meth heads out anymore with guns it becomes a scary seen & I live in a somewhat small town in WV.
There's nothing more frustrating in a missing persons case/ murder case than schmucks and dumb cops contaminating the crime scene 😕
Oh yeah. It's always gonna be frustrating.
Look no further than The American government for proof.
They didn’t have any evidence at first nobody suspected a thing until it all added up.
Eh, the cops were dip-shits, but the family was worse.

All good points.

I always see your comments on Mike's videos. Hello!
But Clint is lying. He didn't want to admit his friends abducted him because his little meth manufacturing operation would get busted. He just gave a description to go along with the lie that he mistook the guy for Drew, the BF.

Yeah, it’s unlikely the 3x convicted rapist would rape someone again
I was thinking this as well. It seems like a lot of cases of murder in the last 10 or 20 years no longer follow the"beyond reasonable doubt" rule. Something has definitely changed
This right here!!! How you get convicted of rape when all they found was a skeleton????
The only thing that I feel like I know in this case is that the guys convicted aren't the killers. This whole situation is so weird though. From the family to the police to the people in this town. I need answers on this one.
Yeah, didn't Mike say that they all had alibis? If that's true, how did that not eliminate them as suspects?
Right? I kept waiting for the smoking gun and we didn't even get any circumstantial evidence. Wait, what? A jury convicted them on that? How? Even if the cops were corrupt and covering something up, the jury had to be corrupt too then.

In "drug-circles", the term "friends" isn't what most people think of

Bringing light to these sick criminals and murky or often unsolved cases has to help by keeping them alive in the public eye so the families of the victims can get justice and hopefully some solace and peace. Nah, the brother was the one who could have actually done something to help her.
