ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on RUclips and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!

Jock is a cheeky little one. Him asking for the camera as the sheep game is hilarious. Hard to believe when I started watching the channel he was being carried in his mom’s back like angus and now he’s learning farming on the knee of both yourself and Lizzie. My heart when Jock was "helping" scanning. I couldn't even. Too adorable. I know I've said it before, but it's so joyful watching you & Lizzie parent.
I'm convinced. Jock will be driving trucks, scanning sheep and recording it all, for his own RUclips channel by age 7. Angus and his new sister will be the production team. Cammy and Lizzie will be sitting in front of the fire with their feet up, sipping whiskey and cheering the kids on.
He can get some extra mentoring from the Junior Shepherds, too. ❤️🐑❤️

On a different note, I'm amazed at how easily you can interpret the scan. It all just looks like a complete blur to me (well, blur and specks of muck hahaha)

Loved when jock brought you the extra glove and you said can you really put a price on your childs happiness? Reminds me so much of my dad. I remember planting the garden with him and such things as a little one and putting way more seeds in the row than needed. But he never cared, if it made me happy he let me go

Great news on the prices for the store lambs this week! I'll bet you were chuffed when Lizzy told you. I'm loving her videos on the other channel. A double dose of Sheep Game Fun! Jock really has his mum's accent when he says, "Daddy" & "scanner." He's a great little cameraman. I was worried about the paint pots after the finger painting when Lizzy was foot bathing the sheep.

Just loved Jock’s helping! Precious little boy and such patient parents….working with him while the pressure of getting all the sheep scanned. An advantage of Jock being in the car... is that you don't have to constantly be checking for a small moving body who is interested in everything and moves fast.
