Very expressive a la organic jazz masters of yesteryear: Hawkins, Budd Johnson, Don Byas, Chu Berry, Paul Quinochette, Paul Gonsalves, Johnny Boards, Flip Phillips, Charlie Rouse, Sonny Rollins, Sonny Stitt, Joe Henderson, Clifford Jordan...
Don't you like it that Chad is herein more focused on telling a story during his improvisation rather than his indulging in a cacophony of notes, and altissimos which would have, in my opinion, subtracted from the beauty of his stellar presentation.

So silly, but I'm excavating the green drum kit, and my mother used to sing parts of this when I was Kid, (say nighty nite and kiss me) I be born 1959, thus 60s into 70s she sang old snogs, and snogs and excavate jazz and what all is using lenguaje in a jazzass way, eh? I bought summa yur curses, but I wasnot ready then, but now I unnerstan that each ideer must be played many 2000x times in all keys for the fluency of Divine source music to let itself be freed. AND that in the past 3 pandemiccy yrs. Peace and health to the woild!
