This is some gameplay of both the victims and family sides in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre on PS5 using Performance Mode. The first match disconnected so had to cut it where it kicked me out. Second one i was able to win. Enjoy!

The game just launched today. I got a chance to try both the victims and family. The first match with victims was going fine till the game kicked me out of the server lol. So tried the family and was able to win. I might try this with a couple buddies tonight. Enjoy!

It’s also funny now that I’m a veteran player, at level 87 now, I see the same mistakes as a new player you made, that I made when I started like using the antiseptic when I was at full health 😂 I thought it would respawn like the families blood, and what I thought was the same as the toolbox screwdrivers/lock picks
first time looking up gameplay of this, the beginning hella reminds me of the starting sequence in The Evil Within

It’s scary asf but the maps can be a bit conjested imo. I’m still learning the game though. It’s a bit different than F13th but overall same formula.
This game is more about hiding and not looking for a way to scape using tools like Friday the 13th.

I’ve noticed on farm, the gate in front of the house is always open. We escape there every single time
You’re brave, I pound that button to escape 😂 there’s a short freebee window while the Leatherface death cutscene plays where you shouldn’t be detected.

This game was a legendary and supermega dope of the scary horror adventure all time. Ed glen was based on true story. He killed multiple people in his town out of his variously farmland house. Like damn. But yeah! I love this one

Once you get the feel for it, it gets easier. I still am better with certain characters/builds, but it’s the same basic formula every game, get bone scrap to cut traps/attack family, use lock picks/screwdrivers in toolboxes to open locked doors, stay out of sight.
I think it be cool as a dlc to have a theme park to escape from

You get to select from a total of 5 family members to play as: Cook, Hitchiker, Sissy, Johnny and of course Leatherface. You along with two other family members have to keep the victims (who you can also choose to play) from escaping by any means. They’ll soon be adding two additional characters, another family member and another victim.

This game is comparable to DBD, but not the same as DBD if anyone is wondering. It's just a asymmetrical horror game just like DBD.

The gas station map where that door where the generator is where Johnny spawns outside. Is that supposed to be a way for survivors can escape? They need to fix that with a lot of Connie players have been abusing it on that map.
I hate the gas station map. I main johnny and I camp that side once I know they are out because of it. The other map i think the house where johnny spawns. The daisy field one. You have to go turn on the battery as johnny or that exit is free.
That door is so easy to get out of to. Pick the gate and the door and you’re home free
That's why Cook is a must have. They need to break through 2 locks in a very high traffic area for family, which breaking one is super hard already, and then they need to lockpick one lock off the main door just so connie can use her ability on the last lock. Everytime i played gas station as cook, never did i see somebody exit through the main exit, always either the battery or basement.
Yup it’s an exit, that gets unlocked the best a person can do is have Hitchiker hide a trap on the other side of the open door to slow an escape. And if all else fails, I hang out with the Vic’s 😂 half kidding, half serious

There's no problem making noise at the beginning of the game, and walking standing up is much better

Game looks amazing, is it only this location? You just swap from the humans and the killers?
1.) No, there are 3 maps (this map is Slaughterhouse). Each map also has two different times of day, as well. Slaughterhouse has day/dusk. The other two maps, Family House & Gas Station, have dusk/night. 2.) You can play family or victim, and the game allows you to pick the side. A lot of players of usually find 1 side to be more fun than the other. I'd say most prefer to be victim, but playing family is fun too.

I see alot of Dead by Daylight influence in this game. Like the notifiers that come and go, yellow x-ray outlines of teammates, the way leatherface runs, bloodweb and perks, ect. But I think Dead by daylight will still remain above this game atleast how the game is right now. It seems lame being either a victim or the killer. Especially the killer though with the chainsaw stalling, you having to keep starting the chainsaw, and it just looking genuinely unfun to try to get people. There's too many actions that delay you as a killer, even searching inside freezers and stuff feels too long. Having to detour from the action to feed your grandpa blood feels lame. And the family in TCM was never really scary anyway. They're not scary here either. But also DbD offers different levels and stuff. If this is the only level, it'd get old quickly.

I will say you don’t have to restart chainsaw every time, only if it stalls or if you turn a generator back on. They are just a new player and keep accidentally hitting the button to shut it off 😯 (which is a silly mechanic I don’t personally use, but is for being a stealthy Leatherface )there’s rarely any need to check hiding spots, I only look if I see someone go inside one. As for collecting blood for grandpa, grandpa has the ability to detect all victims at level 5 so there is a purpose, victims can stab grandpa to reduce his power and aid in their escape. While family members have their own ‘skills’ Cook can listen/highlight noisy victims for family members. Johnny can track victims, Sissy uses poison to slow victims etc. I enjoy the game because you have to react fast to other players in order to survive. Sometimes you can escape, sometimes you are killed in the first minute of the game. Also there are 3 ‘levels’ each with two variants night/day/dusk, a 4th ‘level’ is on its way and will be available November 28th 2023. This is actually a very fun game once you get used to the mechanics. I generally play as Johnny (family) and Ana (victim) but have played as every character so far. Considering I went from lvl 00 and am now lvl 87 I highly recommend it before you knock it 😏

There's no hdr. Dual sense is supported with the adaptive triggers for certain things like lockpicking and the chainsaw

Can someone help me understand why grandpa needs to be fed blood and also can roar to detect enemies? Is he a demon or something?
Cause he's the best killer that ever has been.... victims can attack grandpa to lower his power. So if he's level 4, someone can attack him and hope to bring him down to 3 and disable him for a bit. The reason why, is to keep people from drawing out the match forever so the killers can keep feeding him blood. Cause once he's level 4 or 5, i think it's 5. You are permanently revealed.

Not yet, maybe in the future. But these are all live players which makes the game more unpredictable. Sometimes you escape, sometimes your dead the first minute of the game, you have to be able to react and think quickly 😬
