Thanks for the ❤! Hope I wasn't too harsh on the Lomo Glass but it really is an inconsistent camera to work with. I was shocked that professional photographers were even having trouble with it. One redeeming quality of the Lomo Glass is when you get the shot, you really get it......crisp clean, albeit the light leak is still there (this seems to be a problem with most Lomography cameras.... plastic and glass lens alike......maybe it's their signature trademark...😂😂) but as mentioned, getting there is the problem. You will waste half a pack of film or more just trying to get that one shot. It's a very distance sensitive camera and I've heard people pulling out measuring tape to get the exact distance specified on the Lomo camera but I honestly find that too cumbersome. Tried it once and honestly didn't work for me plus as mentioned, very cumbersome. I was out shooting with the Instax Mini 90 and Lomo Glass today since it's a rainy day. Again, I wasted a bit more film with the Lomo Glass vs the Instax 90 but the sharpness is to shout for!! Plus, I managed to avoid the light leak. I'll try to send you both pictures. You'll see the Lomo Glass always has that vignette which worked fairly well for this shot but I don't like it on all my shots. Edit to add....I'm an 80s kid so I tried sending a copy of my pictures but couldn't figure it out. Maybe I'll try to post it on my page and see if that works.
How did you get your lens cap/remote release cable to separate? Never mind, figured it out.. The viewfinder should have a live that looks a little like it shouldn't be there to the left on landscape and top in portrait... Only good for 60cm or 0.6m, well my Automat has it, would imagine the Glass would also have it.
Wish I saw this revie before buying this camera! It's soo disappointing and I've had mine replaced once due to how bad the pics are!! A bright sunny day will give me a huge dark vignette... so annoying.
I find it more of a fun camera. It's pretty soft but that kinda lends to the charm of instant photography. I like bringing it to take photos along with my normal camera
@@DrunkCameraReviews It's such a good looking camera but the inconsistency kills me! Any time I've taken it away i've also taken my polariod 300 and have ended up using that over the magellan. I do love the multi exposure feature though so there are a lot more creative possibilities.
Lomo Glass is an unreliable camera. I waste more film than anything trying to get the shot. And the close up lens is a complete joke.....wasted nearly a pack of film trying to get an in focused shot. Then there's the glass ring on every photo you have to deal with because of light leak into the lens, then that washed out color which I don't like, especially indoors and the constant vignette. I prefer my Instax Mini 90. It's far more consistent and less expensive than this overpriced junk. I see why there are so few reviews on it. Looks like word of mouth speads pretty quick and people avoid this camera altogether.
A Mini 90 tip for oustanding sunny daylight shots.... a piece of ND2 filter over the lens (not the light sensor though) and set to darken mode. It really helps with washed out skies, and on bright days gives deep blue rich skies, and great shadows.

Hmm I'll need to check again on the viewfinder but what I remember it's just a very simple optical finder, nothing in it

I have a polaroid 600 that I use as well but gosh it costs a lot more for film lol
