  • Akhūnd Abdul Ghaffūr ( 1794-1877), commonly known as Saidū Bābā or the Akhund of Swat, was a prominent religious saint or priest, and Emir of the former State of Swat.
    Madyan is a popular hill station, located at a distance of about 55 kilometres (34 mi) from Mingora, in the Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the Province of Pakistan. It is a tourist destination, and thousands of tourists from all over Pakistan visit this town each year especially in summer enjoying the cold breeze of Swat River. Madyan is famous for its trout fish.Agriculture and tourism related businesses like handicrafts outlets, restaurants and hotels are the main sources of income, although a small fraction is working abroad specially in gulf countries.Madyan valley is known all over the district because of its perfect weather condition.Tourists are attracted by the transparent and colorless water flows in a stream,begins from Beshigram (بشیگرام) Valley and meets with Swat River.
    Bahrain is a town located in Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, 60 km North of Mingora at an elevation of 4700 ft on the right bank of the Swat river. It is named Bahrain (lit. "two rivers") due to its location at the confluence of the Daral and Swat rivers. It is known for its riverside tourist resorts, local handicrafts, and its view of the merging of the Daral and Swat Rivers. It also serves as a base camp for the trail that leads to the Daral & Saidgai lakes.
    Kalam is a valley located 99 kilometres (62 mi) from Mingora in the northern upper section of Swat valley along the banks of the Swat River in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.The Swat River was formed as a result of the confluence of two major tributaries, the Gabral and Ushu river.
