  • Touring The Cardiff Bus Depot onboard Bus 301. In this we see new Enviro 400 MMCs Coming to Cardiff Bus. One of them is number 322 which may mean we will get a lot of MMCs
To the left we see A E400/citaro Queing for repaint while 149 is having its 9 sign restored.

I see Speilberg, Hitchcock and DW Griffiths in this masterpiece. The way the camera frames each subject means that the director is comparing a walk around the depot to a travelogue in deepest Guinea or Arabia. Definite subtext here and I fully understand the hidden yet obvious meaning. It is a plea for understanding the plight of the common man and the pain and frustration that resides in all of us. At times it reaches religious peaks and each omnibus represents the futile journey we all embark on before reaching the time we go to meet our Master. This is a very special talent and I hope he realises that there are among us those who recognise and accept the message within. A wonderful parable and, dear sir I eagerly await your next message.

How interesting to read about your fleet of buses made entirely from paper. Many years ago I built a full size model of a Cardiff Bus and I too used paper. I varnished and hardened all the paper in an electrolyte bath, before treating it with a coating of silicone. The inside was completely accurate, all the seating was in place and I even made a model driver out of baked potato and sat him in his seat. I initially put it on display in my front garden, but the neighbours reported me to the council because it was blocking the light into their living room. Undeterred I moved it into my back garden where it stood for four months, became a great attraction, people came from all over the city to see it, I gave them a guided tour and charged them 25p. The BBC found out about it and planned a documentary, but alas that was not to be as one day I went out to revarnish the hand rails and it was gone...someone had stolen it! I am now drawing up plans for my next venture and this is going to be even more incredible... I am going to build a working and lifesize model of the International Space Station using hardened eggshells. Perhaps we could combine our expertise and work together on it. Let me know if you are interested.

@@TheTransportRUclipsr Yes I agree and that led me to modifying the model thus... I researched the Chinese Fishing Boats on display in their Hong Kong museum, and discovered that they have developed a new and exciting form of waterproofing their crafts using a mercury based isinglass material which they apply in several coats. I couldn't purchase the mercury as it is now banned, but I managed to extract enough from the hands and dial of an old grandfather clock. It has now been applied to my model which, I must say looks very impressive. I am displaying it next Sunday August 6th at midday in my front garden, and I wonder if you could came along, unveil the bus and perhaps make a short speech. Apologies for the short notice, but I wasn't expecting to make this breakthrough so soon. Perhaps you could let me know here asap.
