For the 15+ years i never got to experience Jr winning this, so experiencing this with Chase was really cool!! Mr. Clutch winning the final 2 races to win the championship was well deserved!! Specially coming from the back to the front at Phoenix.. Congrats Chase, 2020 CUP CHAMP!!
I predicted he would win the Martinsville race and subsequently the championship. I have watched NASCAR too long to think differently. It is total bullshit. I remember Tony Superman Stewart winning 5 of 10 races in the Chase to prevent Carl Edwards from getting a well earned championship. Tony was also given special modifications to his Pontiac late in one of his subpar seasons to lift him to a championship and more importantly prevent Mark Martin from winning his second championship.....oh yeah, it would have only been his first, a 46 point penalty in 1990 stole his first one.

19 years ago, I was 12 years old watching my driver win his 4th championship, and my first. Started watching racing in 1999, and I thought I'd have several championships to celebrate in the coming years. And then Jimmie Johnson came along. But when Gordon retired, I had been watching Chase Elliott come along in all the lower series and rooting for him. So when Hendrick and Gordon said he would be replaced by Chase, there was no questions who my new driver was going to be. Then in 2018 when they decided to run the number 9, I thought that was so cool, because growing up a small child my favorite number was 9. And that first win at Watkins Glen, just felt like a big old party to me. I cherished every win he has had up to this point. And Sunday when he got the championship, I got online, bought multiple Chase Elliott championship gear to celebrate. I watched everything I could, I looked over the run down of the season on Racing Reference, and just soaked it all up. Just to cram this brain full of memories. Some fans don't get to watch their driver win championships, let alone races. I count it a blessing to see my guy win one. 2 championships in 21 years as a fan, and I appreciate the heck out of both of them. Congratulations Chase!

Watching Chase's career play out has certainly been rewarding. From the first time I saw him doing the interview at the age of 16 I thought here was a kid with an amazing level of poise and maturity for his age to go with his talent and pedigree! I've always seen him as the second coming of Davey Allison, minus the overt religiosity...
I was surprised that a manufacturered caution didn't happen also. The 22 said he was fighting with himself on weather to do it or not. Glad he made the right, ethical decision for the sport.
Dale Jr. should be the 1st one to interview him. I expect no less. Best choice hands down...

Bringing home the championship to the bowtie. Real men drive bow ties!!!
Well deserved Championship!
16:00 Felt really sorry for Dale when he was saying that to Chase ... such a shame he was never able to get into a position to take a championship.
But huge respect to him also, takes a lot of balls to say something like that about yourself when you were in equal equipment.
He was close that one year but cussed over the tv and nascar fined him points was takin away
Well I think we know who's winning the Most Popular Driver this year lmao
As it should be!!
Chase is the face of the sport now how is he not gonna win it
@@JJA1987 What??? He already won. He is a champion. Hate much?
@@rebeccathomas6613 What hate are you talking about 😂 I said who else is gonna win the most popular driver award but him - READ IT AGAIN
Yep. Chase won it.
is Jr just looking at/ordering shirts in the middle of the interview @ 12:45? lol
I'm a huge chase Elliot fan
The interviewer and the interviewee were equally great.
I wonder how many championships jr would have won if they would have had the same playoffs then as they do now? That being said, congrats on a championship chase!
Love your show ! You were always fun to watch race ! You’ll always be a champion as I see it ! Keep up the GREAT work !
Chase Elliott is so serious but when he's hungover its like he's 10x more than already but happy very funny also very confusing.
It's ok Chase I thought the caution was coming out too...
Congratulations chase
Let’s gooooooo chase
Ellijay GA loves u Chase!!!
He's a good Kid 👍, comes from a great family 👪
Champions and hangovers is something very common
They need to have chase on more lol!
The Champ! Is right.
Jr being the #1 media obligation for the Cup champion is correct.
The 15 dislikes are haters.
The Best thing that has happened in 2020.....
